How many solar panels do you have and what W?
ОтветитьCurrently planning Van life, plan to be on the road in january 2025. THIS is my biggest worry. I want to build my own, not buy already converted. I am terrified of trying to tackle electrical...
ОтветитьThis video helpped me so much!
ОтветитьAnyone know the speakers that is on his gaming monitor
ОтветитьBut what about running AC if you have a cat?
ОтветитьCoolest set up ever!!
Ответитьthorough explanation, love it!
ОтветитьDo you have air conditioning in there too?
ОтветитьThanks! Greatly explained. Just one question, let's say I have a heater or AC on, which is a 1500w appliance, then I need to use Microwave simultaneously which is also a big appliance to draw power let's say it's also 1500W, and neglecting those small appliances like 1W led light; In this case, if you have a 2kw inverter instead of a 3kw inverter, you definitely gonna overload the circuit and destroy the fuse right? Also I heard in Canda during the winter time, Solar panel is not functioning at all or not functioning well to charge the battery, is it true? To be honest, I don't understand how it can not charge battery even we have Sun light in the winter
ОтветитьI’d never be satisfied with these vans. I want what he has but also a shower and toilet.
ОтветитьWhen you said 120v instead of the usual 110, I subbed and liked. Thank you random van person, thank you so much. Also great video, thanks for explaining and showing everything off.
ОтветитьI want to see how it got built 🤔
ОтветитьHow much solar do you have? I don't think you mentioned it, or if you did, I must have missed it.
ОтветитьBut how do you shower and wash your clothes?
ОтветитьHi rya, I love the way the van is laid out, but how do you shower and go to the bathroom? that's the only doubt I have left
ОтветитьSmall Tip: Maybe use Watthours and Watts instead of amps when talking about power draw and power capacity. Because that makes it universal. Drawing 5 amps on 12 volts is a whole different power draw compared to 5 amps on 120 volts.
Same with a battery. A 12Ah (amp hour) battery running at 100V can last more than twice as long as a 12Ah battery running 50V.
Great video, not a full time van / camper man, but power is always a most.
ОтветитьMy laptop with an RTX 4060 uses less watts.
ОтветитьYou can put in an extra Orion 12/12 30a easy.
The input cable is 10mm? dont you want to go with 16mm?
Where is the bath ?
Ответитьif you upgrade your Orion Tr Smart to a 60amp or more ... be sure to see if you alternator has more amps than the device... otherwise you will damage the alternator ....orrrr look in to installing a bigger alternator with more amps ...maybe the sell a kit for that
ОтветитьI'm making a camping van now. Your video was very helpful. It is most difficult for me to make electrical facilities.😅
ОтветитьRyan, thanks for taking the time and showing us your system. Lots of good info.
ОтветитьHow do you get internet in the van?
Ответить10 amps of what? 12v? That’s only 120 watts which sounds too low. A large gaming monitor is easily 50 watts. An Xbox one is 120 watts. Add inverter inefficiencies and you’re looking at closer to 200 watts or 16 amps.
ОтветитьBro, your kitchen setups, specifically the herb, seasoning, cooking supplement shelf is crazy.
ОтветитьSolar?
Ответить"Let's head out into the desert and talk power" are supposedly the last words heard by Jimmy Hoffa.
ОтветитьWho can help me setup a van in the next year ?? 💰
ОтветитьI want to live in an RV, but I need 1gb internet.
Ответитьget some tints on the front windows and front windscreen will make such a difference when you're driving and for heat and interior damage
ОтветитьThis has helped me massively and was exactly what I was looking for. I'm building a van around my disabilities but only for lots of trips away not live in. But I have a few special requirements I was concerned about.
THANK YOU SO MUCH 🤝
What van is that?
ОтветитьThanks!
Ответитьlol, USB power is only 5v... not 12.
ОтветитьOhh breakfast looked good.
ОтветитьHow do you deal with carbon monoxide? Thank you.
Ответитьi coulnd't live in one of these, not at all, But i would love to rent one of these for a long road trip!!
ОтветитьThere's no discord link :(
ОтветитьI have a 400ah 375watt solar and battery bank set up and I find that's the perfect amount of power for boon docking for a few days at a time. I have a water heater for my shower and induction cooktop which use up the most power (about 10% of my batteries per day).
ОтветитьHow much solar you have is far more important than the battery pack size which is why a van was immediately not an option to me, which is why I went with a truck with 7x2.4m of roof space with 2000w on it. If I go into minimal systems usage and only use what my panels bring in each day which is about 1500wh I can just get through the worst of winter without plugging in. You most certainly can't be the house cat type living in a van full time with the limited roof space they have and not be pluggin in regularly.
ОтветитьWhat Wi-Fi do you use
ОтветитьSome great tips here. Impressive you did this all yourself. I probably wouldn’t trust myself or be able to do it all safely and properly. Also a good tip on using a portable solar generator depending on one’s power consumption. A lot cheaper and easy to set up!
ОтветитьNice to see a gaming van setup, thanks for sharing!
Ответитьvanlife4ever!
ОтветитьWas about to praise your cleanliness discipline but then the fans appeared.
ОтветитьAlways wanted something just like this
ОтветитьIf you were to rebuild another van will you do it?
Ответить
