Food for thought: something a lot of human viewers never realize is that Romulan ships are blood-colored ... for copper-based vulcanoids.

The Romulan Warbird's deep, warbling warmth satisfies instantly.

Them Romulans are very, very talented humanoids. Wasn't much the creators showed us of them. Should have already been a show with them center stage.

Sounds exactly the same as the Enterprise's engine sounds. They using the same Warp cores.

Same as every other supposed space background noise. A muffled air conditioner.

I like this better than the enterprise sound. The deeper frequency the better. Plus, with this, I like the faint vibrato or flutter.

Dont know if anyone ever noticed on the external shots on star trek the next generation the romulin war bird was always in the nose pitched up position then in the second external shot both the warbird and the enterprise were nose to nose.

This sounds just like the enterprise just a little lower frequency, wonder how they created the ship sounds. Sound like they stuck a microphone out a window going 55 mph then adjusted the speed

No wonder the Romulans are so grumpy. The most irritating of these engine sounds!

The engine sound is deeper and more resonant, and therefore more intimidating, than Enterprise class ships. That's why I could never go back. Plus I find the latest Warbirds have better service agreements, but that's just me post-rationalizing my purchase.

Does anyone else hear a crackling noise in it?
