Just purchased it…. Would this work with the LV1 live?.. I’ve just purchased the 16/ch software while awaiting the arrival of the ionic/16ch… I have a simple two piece vocal setup so only need to focus on live vocals
ОтветитьWaves Butch Vig plug in does the same with more flexibility.
ОтветитьGreat video. This is definitely a dope plug-in.
ОтветитьBoth plugging.. I ain't hearing what iit does.. and i still hear that low bass tune of a electricity hum in my ears..
This video am currently watching it from my iphone using headphones.
Great video as usual from you. Is there any application that Silk could be used for in voice over/audiobook narration?
ОтветитьI'm not giving them my phone number like they're asking just to download that
ОтветитьFeels like using a C4 or C6 multiband compressor, I don't see any much it's doing, honestly I expected more
ОтветитьDon’t waste your time. If u want really good resonance correction, use Soothe2 or DSEQ3
ОтветитьI'm glad I caught that Black Friday giveaway because it's no longer available for free.
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you so much!
ОтветитьI started using Nectar 3 Elements on all vox, and I think this is going to take it up a notch. Nectar killed the vocals a bit, so I left my limited and saturated/excited duplicate track off, and added it back after Nectar did it's thing, but that's also added some resonance back too, so I think it's going to be just what I need! I had smooth operator in the cart ready for Black Friday (happened to be my payday), but then I got this for free!
ОтветитьYou clearly aren't great at handling Hip-Hop vocals, lol
ОтветитьI put this on my acoustic guitar bus yesterday, and it's so nice! Try it!
ОтветитьIs this useful for voice-over work? Or is it just for music vocals
ОтветитьThe more I try this plugin the more I like Soothe. It's really bad.
ОтветитьThanks for making this video! I'm going to have to try this out!
ОтветитьLyrics are so bizzare on both songs lol 😂 That being said great tutorial 🙏🏼
ОтветитьScrew Waves. Pay for a plugin...then 1 year later they charge you to use it.
I will never own a waves product. Plenty out there better and once you buy ..you own forever.
why would you use a rap SPEAKING vocal to explain this plugin? Why not use someone singing which I thought was\is the idea behind the plugin.
ОтветитьGot this free plugin yesterday, so I watched several videos on it's use. Yours did the best job of explaining the functions in a clear and concise way, well done!
ОтветитьI can't believe I got this for free
ОтветитьGreat plugin. Also have smooth operator but for vocals 9/10 times you are going to be targeting the frequencies that this does. Add it the mini RVox Compressor and it's good to go.
ОтветитьYou can deverb with so many plugins nowadays. It’s great.
ОтветитьThank you for a well versed walk through on this. I got mine today and had watched a less informative tutorial.......but I slapped it onto a vocal track to check it out. I think I just eliminated about 4 or 5 plugins from my chain using Silk.
Thanks Bobby!!!
when done badly, rap is the worst genre of all.
ОтветитьSo it's just an EQ with 3 separated band groups and a bunch of other filters that come with FL OOTB?
ОтветитьI like this plugin ❤
ОтветитьLove that shirt pin message🎯
ОтветитьLol great vid brada🔥🔥🔥. Just installed mine in FL studios. Yo who's rap in the beginning😅man's was spitting bars🗣
ОтветитьNice Plugins. Please, what reverb and delay FX are you using?
ОтветитьAndrew Tate is a music producer?
Ответитьsounds a good plug-in, but it a way to big almost half of 1 GB justo at Installation ... for just one plugging
ОтветитьSomebody crack it
ОтветитьLike Sooth2 but specifically for vocals? Pretty nice considering it's free right now
ОтветитьYou really think this plug in is a one stop shop for vocal chain
ОтветитьThanks for the heads up on this and thanks for the deep dive. I’m going to try this out later!
Ответитьyou're not @JRent506 🤨🤨🤨
Ответитьworth to download if you got soothe?
ОтветитьIt isn’t helpful to demo this with a ‘vocal’ that doesn’t involve real singing or any real pitch choices. No more stale hip hop garbage, please. It isn’t helpful.
Your approach is good otherwise. Thank you for the awareness of the plugin. I’ll check out some other videos with real singing and see if I end up replacing Soothe 2. I doubt it but let’s see!
I love what I hear from this plugin. It is a process chain saving plugin; I can clean a vocal and also add character to the vocal with a single plugin. After this plugin, I can review my vocal chain to add those "perfect" tweaks with less processing.
ОтветитьI know that a pro version of it is coming up
ОтветитьNice gift from Waves. Works pretty well. For smoothers - against Vastus, it is better. Smooth Operator? Similar too. Silk really is a bit better than the others, but could be used combined with them. Regarding Clarity, I'd want to use the Pro version in a live setting as we use plugins for live events and you can definitely hear the room noise.
ОтветитьSounds great! That second pop track you can really tell how well it cleaned up by how the verb stops jumping in response to those peaks. Butter verb after! 😊💪🏼
ОтветитьAbout three weeks ago, I completely uninstalled all my waves plug-ins for one there untrustworthy at this point, but also with UAD slate, and softube I really isn’t a need for waves, and I just noticed I started not using them, and I do have soothe already
ОтветитьWow, not only did you give a great tutorial on the new silk plugin, you may have sold me on the clarity plugin. I'm recording in an untreated room (renting, so it's not my place) and I hate how I get natural reverb. I want to be the one adding the reverb as I see fit. THANK YOU!!!
ОтветитьDoes it find the resonance for you? Or is it just the same as a dynamic EQ ?
ОтветитьWould you use this at the start or end of your vocal chain
ОтветитьNo more plugins from Waves after what they did.
ОтветитьWould have been nice to hear it demonstrated on some actual singing.
Ответить
