What tire combo is your favorite? - Dan at Fanatik
ОтветитьSeem to havd a hard time finding most of these online especially with choice of size and compound.
ОтветитьMagic Mary up front, Big Betty down back .. got it, no question .. thanks alot dude
ОтветитьI love the 2.4 Supertrail Soft Magic Mary on the front and the 2.35 Super Trail Soft Nobbie Nic on the rear. Works great on my trail bike. Rolls fast, too
ОтветитьNobby nic speedgrip rear 27.5x2.8 and hans dampf soft upfront 27.5 x2.6. She flicks and grips😂

ОтветитьWhat would you say is the best for hardpack? I recently moved from a relatively wet climate where I had a Magic Mary/Big Betty combo and unfortunately I’m slipping out quite a bit. Now being in Colorado I ride quite dry/rocky terrain
ОтветитьOn my hardtail, for normal trails, Hans Dampf (orange) front, Nobby Nic ( blue ) rear. For XC either Nobby Nic ( blue ) front, Rocket Ron ( red ) rear, or Racing Ray ( blue ) front, Racing Ralph ( red ) rear. Reall boggy stuff Magic Mary front, Big Betty Rear both orange.
ОтветитьPicking up a Transition Spire on Friday and notice they come stock with Super Trail Magic Mary and Big Betty. I live in New Mexico where it’s chunky and dry and usually run double downs or kryptotal enduro casing. Are these a decent alternative that will hold up? Thanks you all are the best and I don’t mind if you tell me to order new tires from you!
ОтветитьI'm trying up front 29x2.5 Magic Mary Super Trail Casing/Addix Soft at 23psi & on the rear 29x2.4 Big Betty Super Gravity Casing/Addix Soft at 24psi. How does that sound for we and muddy UK bike parks?
ОтветитьI wish they made magic Mary 29x2.6 super soft
ОтветитьHe: you dont need a big tire in the rear but in the front
Me who has a Big Betty 27.5x2.8 in the rear and an Magic Mary 27.5x2.4 in the front: i like your funny words magic man
THE HURRICANE ? THANKS
ОтветитьWhich combo would you recommend for NorCal riding on an EVIL Following? I currently have DHF and DHR and they have enough grip but I wonder if I can trade some of that grip for fast rolling and more efficient climbing. Conditions range from dry, loose, and rocky, to moist forest soil covered in detritus, often on the same ride, with root and rock gardens. I think Nobby Nic front and rear can handle it but I'm curious how a Hans Dampf in the front would work, it looks like it doesn't shed debris and rocks as well
ОтветитьIm planning to have 2.40 nobby nic and 2.35 hans dampf rear for trails. How is it?
ОтветитьDo you think magic Mary 2.5 up front and big Betty 2.4 in the rear?
Ответитьi have changed my racing ralf and racing ray for magic mary (front) and hams damf (rear) for the winter months, is it a good combo?
ОтветитьF/R:HD/NN
anygood?
These all tires was tubeless
ОтветитьThat AWFUL repetitive music! 😖
ОтветитьI have a Raleigh M-800 with 26" wheels. Can you please tell me if the Magic Mary and Big Betty combo will fit? Will the width of them fit a Raleigh M-800 in 26" wheels?
ОтветитьPerfect video and usefull informtation guys. Exactly what I was looking for. Thx.
Ответитьgotta love the 'hons domf'
ОтветитьI don't like how you showed the tire rolled up instead of on a rim. But good info.
And is there a chart comparing tires from different brands? So I can see what is the Schlawbe version of a Maxxis Assegai?
Its called Schwalbe and Not Schwalbii, damm fools
ОтветитьNa pláštích Hans Dampf jsem po půl roce užívání objevil spoustu praskli. Desén drží výborně a zbytek je úplně zničený. Velké zklamání u toho to produktu :-(
ОтветитьOn my new torrent HT I have the Hans Dampf factory fitted and they are sick!
ОтветитьThis dude sounds like he started riding Schwalbe 2 years ago. And "breaking, breaking, breaking... everything is for breaking" :D
Great that Schwalbe survived those degenerated bots lying about knobs falling off, such a miserable way to compete. Morons believed such blatant lies.
With this new and better casing I'm a happy customer.
Best tires on Earth.
Keep 26 alive!
Great video. Thank you. I decided to go with the Big Betty 2.4 soft on the rear and Magic Mary 2.6 ultra soft on the front.
Ответитьhi, how are these magic mary front and big betty rear combo doing in uphill?
Ответитьsick vid bois, its actually pronounced "sh - vul - bih", not, "sh - wal - bee", if that makes any sense. A schwalbe is a bird, more specifically a swallow
ОтветитьSmoking n screaming death metalmuch?🤣... kiddin... thank you for the info brotha 👍 running m.m. addix 2.6 f. Specialized ground control gripton r ... rippn good... magic mary addix soft is beast.
ОтветитьSchwalbe makes a great tire but those names are absurd. 😂
Magic Mother Mary
Dumb Hans Dampf
Nobby Nobody Nic
Big Butt Betty
Despicable Dirty Dan
Muddy Mary Magdalene
Perfect breakdown, thanks. I finally understood thier previous naming... Hopefully they don't change naming again in a couple years ha.
ОтветитьI have Dirty Dan 2.35 Verstar DH in front and Maxxis HR 2 DD rear and also have Muddy Mary 2.5 Trailstar DH in front and Maxxis DHR2 EXO 2.4 , I had Magic's also, great tires! Thanks for the review.
ОтветитьFanatik do you guys find you can run really low pressure with the super gravity casings? I've been running Magic Mary's front and rear ultrasoft / soft and around 18 psi front and 20 rear. No vague feeling, just amazing traction and control. I notice if i run "normal" pressures they feel a bit wooden.
ОтветитьHow is the with of the tires compared to Maxxis DHR2 or DHF? I would like to get the magic Mary's (or MM/bigBetty combo) on my Canyon Spectral but i am dubbing between 2.6 front and 2.4 back, or both 2.4 wide. (Thinking of a Super Gravity in the rear and a Super Trail up front, for trail/enduro and Bikepark stuf)
2nd question:
What are the pro's and con's of a wider (front) tire?
Great video explained really well so as not to confuse people like me!! I currently have nobby nics on my haibike and I keep coming off!! Mostly on slippery mud and the dreaded chalk as we have rather a lot of this on the southdowns!! I just don't find the grippy or planted enough so I'm thinking that magic Mary's would be better for me. But I like what you said about the big Betty on the rear too!! What are your opinions on this please? Just want to enjoy autumn and winter riding without ending up on the ground. 😎😎
ОтветитьLove how you explain things, great video!
Can you elaborate on the difference between Hans Dampf and Nobby Nic? They weigh almost exactly the same at 29x2.35, Supertrail Soft.
Is one faster rolling? Is one better at clearing mud? Is one better at gripping / side knobs?
I'm really having trouble finding this info online...
Normally running magic mary purple dh on front n a maxxis minion dhr2 on the back but gonna try out big Betty next time
Also in winter im on the dirty dan up front since it gets pretty muddy here
Im riding rn the magic mary super downhill on the front and the big betty super gravity on the back
ОтветитьThe Nobby Nic is now 3rd version.
Ответить.... coughs in corona.
Ответитьhow can I listen to this video but like, without his voice
ОтветитьI'm currently running the Rocket Ron's with tubolitos on my Trek Roscoe
Ответитьwhy combo tire and compound would you guys run on wreckoning type bike in socal trails (harder, rockier vs the nw)
ОтветитьKeep rockshox and fox together. To stop em fighting. Good job
ОтветитьHard to buy any of them anywhere, just out of stock recently.
ОтветитьI love Schwalbe but gat dayyum is there a big weight penalty with these new models. The super trials are heavy a shit. 2.4 lbs for a nobby nic for thier narrowest offering! For comparison the old Nic was 1.9 lbs. That's a half pound difference for the same tire. I think they missed the boat. It's really hard to build a sub 30lb 29er with 5 pounds of rubber without dropping 9-10k.
ОтветитьMagic Mary or Minion DHF???
Ответить
