“The remainder of the Doctor’s regenerations” Well that canon got quickly thrown out the TARDIS

Spoilers: Given the split in the latest special my head cannon is that The Valeyard happens down the line in 14’s side of the split.

Perhaps 14 adopts Matt Smith’s face down the line and then regenerates into The Valeyard (played by Capaldi!) and when The Valeyard fails regenerates into the Curator.

Such a big foreshadow of the timelords’ goal in the time war

people can say doctor who is dead all they want. but this doctor always prooves to me that, the show will go on, and people will always continue to either enjoy it or dislike it. but it won't stop. its a never ending story.

I feel like Colin Baker was starting to come into his own as the Doctor here but it unfortunately got cut short

Maybe the timeless children could explain the Valeyard.

Always felt like Colin Baker did his absolute best during his whole run and the real villains of the piece were Michael Grade and John Nathan Turner's egos! Insisting on that lunatic costume for example. Why?

Even my least favorite Doctor had a damn good performance. This show is so good on so many levels.

By the word "regeneration," that would be Tennant II (after being shot by the Dalek) and Smith. But he said "incarnation." Counting each sequential Doctor by physical parameters, factoring the word "final" in, and considering Smith's entire arc - that's the dark side of Smith alone. Even without Tennant's power-crazed penultimate story, "The Waters of Mars," that's a LOT of darkness to draw from. "Eleven" could frequently be downright terrifying, and let's not forget the Dream Lord.

It is too bad we never saw more of the Valeyard in the Doctor Who episodes which followed.

Isn't it 'funny', much later we meet the Timelord Victorious, the Doctor regenerates, later on. Until one... bad day, has to hunt for a beloved companion... being a good man going to war...

Some terrible acting here

Doctor who went so downhill after Matt Smith. He was the last good doctor. A lot of the original doctors aswel, right doctors at the wrong time.

Boy, Matt just isnt looking like himself.

colin bakers "WHAT" is everything, perfectly summarises everyone's feelings about the utter chaos that is having the same person be prosecutor and defender.

The beginning part of this scene is probably one of the best speeches colin baker ever gave as the 6th doctor.

"You do not improve with age", ain't that the truth, especially after Capaldi's tenure.

Terrible outfit aside I think Colin Baker was a great actor in the role, especially scenes like this. He was way better than Jodie Whittaker anyway.

"Somewhere between your twelth and final incarnation." that would be during the regeneration in The End Of Time pt2, then. Perhaps a by-product of the Time Lord Victorious.

Very underrated scene here as the Doctor basically calls the high council out for their own blinding hubris and hypocrisy. The 6th doctor deserves a better reputation than he receives imo, sure he has a lot of unfulfilling stories, but he also has great ones such as attack of the Cybermen and Revelation of the Daleks. Xx

People who say Colin's Doctor never had good moments, show them this scene, probably his best scene as the Doctor
