One show in Knoxville before I was born, my uncle had a bike chain with him and Ron Wright actually asked him to use it in a match and he'd give it back. He never got it back, but that's pretty damn awesome!

He was still with NWA/WCW in 1989.

yes he worked with just about all of the NWA territories in the southeastern parts of the US including SECW-CCW, USACW and the two CWF shows, then later FCW/PWF

Gordon had little work at this point....With Georgia & Florida gone (his main two promotions he did commentary for) he would go on to work for the Fuller's in Alabama and Knoxville in the late 80's before heading to the NWA/WCW in mid-1989.

so did gordon solie travel from nwa territory to nwa territory and do commentary for each of their tv shows?
