When you think about it, the trauma the bush meat does to many apes (along the issues orangutans face) would the human equivalent of a serial killer killing a mother in front of her baby , chopping her with the intent to eat her, and then kidnapping the baby. The major difference besides the species aspect, is that aprs can remember that. We can’t, but we may still have subconscious psychological issues for the rest of our lives. The primate babies can start the beginning of their 40-60+ years with that.😥

this is a little crazy... does this woman know that chimps literally eat babies sometimes right after a female chimp gives birth? that's why most females leave the group to give birth. yeah baby chimps are cute but adult chimps are super evil

The way she describes the way this thing was captured. Mother hacked up by hunters for meat. I mean it already seemed like fun but she made it sound like the best day in the woods ever.

She's humanizing the mother. They're animals and they shouldn't be abused, but they're animals, not people.

Honey i am so humbled by your love ❤bless you so much there are animals out there who are going through a lot bcs of humans honestly I wish I was able to take all to love them from dogs and all 🙏❤

This is the most amazing job a person can have. Not only is it extremely rewarding, but you get to watch those little babies you helped raise become adults, and potentially have a baby of it's own. Plus being able to spend that time with those beautiful little fuzzballs. To play with them, make them laugh and bounce around. So many of these incredible animals are being killed. The Bush meat trade, and for the Orangutans, the Palm Oil Plantations. All are causing havoc on the primates everywhere. Seeing these infants, almost like human babies, can be tickled, and again laugh, have fun, but need love just like us. These are special people, and one of my regrets is I never went to school for zoology. I would have loved to spend my life caring for these little ones.

Her mom is still with her. Just not in a physical body.
