I remember this from school. They changed the recommended ranges and suddenly I have borderline high BP. Decades later, because of a very unfortunate series of events, I was hospitalized for high BP. I take a very low dose of metro now and it helps a lot. And even more, controlling sodium intake. You will probably be amazed at how much sodium is in processed foods. Take a look at the labels! Two cups of beans or soup and you are maxed out! Or ten slices of some bread. I make my own bread and buy no salt added (not low salt) now, and add a measured amount of salt for flavor to keep it reasonable. You do get used to the difference. Now regular canned corn tastes like corn with a burning ton of salt on it. It really helps.

Of course they changed the readings mainly I suspect TO make more money out of those who were considered ok .... there was a day when I had trust in doctors ( until I was screwed by statins big time but that trust along with trust in big pharm went down the drain . I'm 71 over six foot 16 stone and my blood pressure readings for quite sometime have been around 160/90 but the last six months have been around 130/80 and my doctors and me are quite happy with that. I got it down to this due to herbs and spices and supplements numerous times a day.
All the talk in that video and no mention of what we're now supposed to consider normal so pretty much a waste of your time and mine. You got a thumbs down.

What is interesting is that its stated only a Doctor can diagnose you with high BP. But they take your reading once, while you can do daily at home. Last time when I measured 140/86 in the doctor's office, I was in disbelief. My 30 day daily average at home is 118/70.
