I remember those bright clothes back in the 80's. Young preschoolers wore a lot of overalls. That includes the bowl hair cut. My brother and I had that bowl hair cut all the way until the mid 90's.

Mom, Dad and His mom all lived thru' the Depression; NO one wore a "potato sack" like that! Mom's cut them unto useable pieces and sewed them up. Later, when Flour makers realized that their bags (made of a finer cloth) were being made into clothing, they arranged to have Clothing Patterns printed on the material. I've seen the photos.

They got something wrong in the 80s section it said that high top chuck taylors were worn outside the gym for the first time but thats not true my father grew up in the 60s and 70s and as a kid he wore chuck taylors
