I'm from Germany and Loved the Hollywood Tour Ride in Phantasialand when i was younger, i'm glad i got to ride it one Last time in 2018 before they shut it down in 2020. The giant spider in the Western Scene was an homage to Tarantula, a 1955 horror movie that's meant to take place in Desert Rock Arizona.

i love watching all of the povs of the jurassic jungle boat ride that i can find and researching it as much as i can— and yet every family vacation to pigeon forge that i go on, the mere prospect of riding it terrifies me. i will admire from afar thank you very much 🤣

Hollywood Tour did have a smell, but not so much a moldy one. It is quite distinct in my memories.

That big monkey animatronic is disgusting. Pure nightmare fuel for me. I got so nauseous looking at it lmao. I wanted to watch the picture reel for the rides demolition so bad, but I was so scared that I’d see that thing stripped 🤢

Hollywood tour smelled bad? I had never noticed that before. Hollywood tour was entertaining and just fun to do. I think the still existing dark ride in that park "Geister Rikscha" is in worse shape. Also, so many American dark rides on this list while there are already several It's a small world knockoffs in Asia that seem much more crazy than several on this list. If you think about it, Geisterschoss in Europa park is crazy violent and bloody, Il Corsari in Gardaland is a drug trip and beautiful at the same time. Dragons with human faces...I mean, wtf! Transdemonium in Parc Astérix was just weird and surreal. Toad's hole at Lightwater Valley was a 'why' experience. As a European, this list is rather tame. You should visit the rest of the world, brother.

The nasty thing about King Kong in Phantasialands Hollywood Tour weren't the head or his fingers, but the damp rotten fur that was touching in the water. And my memories are from... around 1992. But, rides like Hollywood Tour started my interest how rides work and Theme Parks work. (So an 11 y.o. starting to wonder if they simply couldn't keep maintenance up or simply didn't care.)

Jurassic Park boat ride is not in that area. It’s actually in Gatlinburg Tennessee. I’ve been there before.

I had never gone to Universal until last year, and then again later with two other friends.

My mom actually happens to be dating an old mechanic/maintenance man who worked on the E.T. ride, so he took us to the park but we never ended up walking to E.T. as it was closed for maintenance

Fast forward, I go with two of my friends and the ride is open -- barely functioning tbh (the line was abysmally long) and only one side was dispatching ride vehicles

Well everything was normal... Until we reached E.T.'s planet from hell. My jaw dropped and stayed that way for the rest of the ride, it was so horrifying, and one of my other friends was just as shocked (it was his and I's first times riding it, but our 3rd friend knew the shit we were boutta get into)

It was definitely a fever dream, E.T.'s voice was so distorted saying our names that it was hard to tell if he was actually forming words or just going "guuuuuuh"

I told my mom's boyfriend afterwards and he laughed at my horror 😅

OMG SILVER DOLLAR CITY!! I love that ride but it does give me the creeps lol
