- [Instructor] Sit to stand.

Begin by sitting in the chair of your choice and slide to the edge.

Keep your knees shoulder width the part and bent to 90 degrees.

Next, have your arms raised in front of you and slowly stand up.

This maneuver will engage her gluteal muscles as well as your core muscles.

Slowly return to start position.

If this exercise is too difficult, you may stand facing a chair and squat about 45 degrees while holding the chair for balance.

Do two sets of 10 repetitions twice a day for five days a week.
