Of all of this Bible series, this presentation is the most redemptive.
In this same series they paint the prophet Jeremiah as whiny and confused; in the Book of John, the depiction of Christ is as someone that high.
But the story of Daniel is here told with empathy. You sense pain and distress of the young Jews ripped from their home. The trials of their captivity corespond with scripture and the effects of revelation on pagan kings is thought provoking.
I would hope for such great stories as Nehemiah and Ezra to be presented; few principles from the Bible are more encouraging than the example of restoration.
