I'd have a couple cams that watch the outside of my home, I'd never install any inside because of creeps that like watching others in their homes.

sounds like ring needs a lawsuit, good grief do they have ANY security hardware at all between the system and the internet? sure doesn't look like it.. hacking form india? its wide open fcs...

here is how this works, they use the same technology as garage door openers between the camera and the internet, so unless you have that non hackable ever changing code you cannot access the cameras at all, not even if you were to gain access to the router as the signal is scrambled using an intense cypher.. it would not be worth the super computer needed to use brute force to gain access and plus any good chip will recognise the efforts as this info is not a download to the cameras security box, its all upload traffic, whether to the cloud which I wouldn't do I would record to hard drive, the only download would be um, never? even using a phone to view cameras remotely is ALL upload traffic for the home, so any traffic can detect down load traffic of someone trying to implement code to do something..

my guess is they didn't use passwords, there is no secure hardware in the blink systems, junk.. don't use it, and when researching look for SECURE systems non hackable, they will use certain chips that use intense algorithm to protect.. what did people expect from cheap chinese garbage systems?

be sure your system uses HARDWARE to protect your wifi signals,specially if you use wireless.. that has to be made safe at teh router and the security box itself, hardware!

Just use camera that aren't connected to the internet for inside the home. Ye you can't watch from anywhere live but you don't have to worry about creeps.

That is creepy, imagine if the hacker is watching the whole time without anyone realizing and continue to live normally. Security companies should look into this to prevent this from happening in the future.

Thats why I only use local sd card recording and only have 1 indoor camera that just shows only my front door
