ОтветитьFun ideas/games that I have had (some dev mode to make/setup) and would like to share are:
- A costal defense, with a few turrets and mortars to start against Winston Waves. I adjusted the map so enemies could only enter through shallow ocean tiles, with cliff blocking off the land approaches. This was inspired by the Costal Battery from Fortifications Citadel mod. (Considered doing this with a cloning only theme too some day)
- Another one was to use the Highmate mod from Vanilla Expanded to make a 'harem' type cult, it was a more interesting experiment than one might think actually.
- SkyMind Network play where the 'real' people never leave and only use surrogates to talk to the outside world.
Breeder cult probably felt "boring" because those two modded turrets are holding off a ridiculous amount of raid points you play Rimworld however you want but it really seems like the over powered turrets turned this colony into a game of Sims which you didn't like
The no pawn left behind colony I'm shocked was lost to a single scorcher they have pretty limited range (4.9 tiles in fact the shortest of any ranged weapon in the game while your smg's are 22.9) so it can be quite easy to simply deal with them before they ever manage to set someone on fire but you clumped everyone up so they all got lit up at the same time which snowballed into the whole colony dying (I guess) there were a lot of cuts but another problem seemed to be a lot of colonists set to flee and you pretty much just giving up letting them run around which like with the breeder cult if you just got bored or wanted to give up that's fine but certainly seemed they could've lasted longer
The "logge" colony is a tricky one you practically have to abuse the game to it's limits to make melee only work by using choke points, melee block, and the infamous "corner punch" melee only can go quite far even with the humble "logge"
Nature Primacy cult where killing animals and eating plants is frowned upon, but cannibalism is celebrated. The only ethical consumption under capitalism is cannibalism!

A nomadic roaving band of pillagers
A Rimworld like Maze Runner/Doom that all takes place underground in a giant map-spanning ancient danger
Building a colony based around the shared values/brotherhood of forced labor and everyone is forced to join (Instant healing wizards are a must at the beginning so it would be viable to convert large qauntities of incapacated members of hostile raid parties instead of them bleeding out)
Every encounter the enemy has randomized weapons

ОтветитьTwo ideas: Leper Colony: Every pawn must be missing one limb and one eye - if Leprosy isn't something you can actually give them, it's been awhile since I played Rimworld. Every new pawn must also have one eye and a limb removed.
"Scavengers" You get nothing, you can create nothing. Everything must be looted from the surrounding area, given to you by Randy, or taken off a dead raider.
How about something like napoleonic rimworld? Muskets, blunderbusses. Cannons and cavalry. And of course an average sized french man wrecking your colony.

Ответить@Hazzor 4 colonists 4 corners of the map only 1 colonists can be in 1/4 of the map with a 5x5 comunity room in the center all can access at once or as swapping colonists to a different quadrant.

ОтветитьColony Idea: Create a necromancy cult with a powerful necropath psycaster as the leader. From there you'd basically be the bad guy in the story. Terrorize nearby colonies, take slaves, make human sacrifices. Raid, kill and steal to your hearts content. After all the weak should fear the strong!
Ответитьa multiplayer campaign (2-4 players) where everyone gets an in-game year to make their own colony and whoever has the most value by the end wins!
Though I can see how keeping track of that might be difficult... but well, MP is always fun.
Alternatively, a FFA last colony standing after a year would be cool too... but not sure the MP mod can handle that. Yet... if not PVP, perhaps a series of pre-fab battles can be used to test who built the best colony.
Idea 1: Mod it up and try to run a successful casino (murder of lucky bastards optional)
Idea 2: Monk Monestary/Dojo colony that can only use their fists like DND monks
Idea 3: Some sort of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles style animal-mutant colony?
Idea 4: zombie colony tries to survive the human apocalypse! (all zombie pawns that eat anything they can kill raw)

ОтветитьIdea: Make a colony where the only permitted weapons are area weapons. Grenade launchers, molotovs, mortars, etc. But no standard guns/turrets.
ОтветитьHere is an idea for a rimworld colony. You crank up that maximum number of colonies as high as you can (possibly using a mod to make it infinite) then use the extra small map size. This way you end up with a cluster of small interdependant colonies and require a large population.

I just reloaded my save a new arrivals, 1 person and pet , research complex clothing, 2000 silver ,100 gold, 75 survivor meals, 30 medicine ,1 turret and unstable battery. Random number of logs.

ОтветитьHazzor thanks for the fun videos with excellent narration and imaginative theme ideas! My suggestion is an animal cult where you pick an animal, obtain as many as you can, provide for, breed, and worship them. For an easier run make it an animal that's useful (such as a bear that can help defend the colony 'Ursine Cult') or for a harder/funnier run make it a practically useless animal (such as a guinea pig 'Cavy Cult'). I would suggest the guinea pig, but you should choose.

Idk if you can actually somehow get a colony to become part of the empire and then have your colonists climb the social ladder within the empire until you rule it, but i think it would make for a very interesting and enjoyable challenge if you could. If it's not possible I imagine there is a mod out there to make it possible.

I'm not good enough at the game to do it myself, but perhaps try a colony where only ranged weapons are allowed... but all colonists are blind. There are probably some easy ways around this so let's just say that turrets are forbidden. If you feel like it, put a limitation on grenades and such as well, only allowing things like emp grenades. I one time made a bit of progress by utilizing animals that could guard and attack on command. It's a bit slow... and you might lose some recruits/colonists to the process or removing one's sight by someone who has no sight, but once you get going it provides a neat little challenge that my dumb little monkey brain would like to see in action.
