I would call this the most reasonable Obsidian video on YT. Clear practical examples of both how to set up the environment and how to use it, keeping everything simple! Moreover, you nention how to adapt to personal needs.
ОтветитьThis is wild because I'm a huge fan on your computational neuroscience videos and I just stumbled upon this video because I recently started using Obsidian. I guess we have a lot in common!
ОтветитьВ слове Often "t" не произносится
ОтветитьFamiliar with obsidian and looking to implement zettlekasten in my note taking… loved your video and system, certainly will draw on this as I start my system.
ОтветитьJust what I was looking for—a simple Obsidian note-taking system based around Zettelkasten, suitable for beginners, and explained by someone with actual experience using it. Excellent work! Didn’t have to think twice about subscribing🙌🏼
ОтветитьLove the details in your outline and description of various functions! Thanks👍🏼
Ответитьis it me or are the attachments/links not displaying, like I put them in but it just shows for example: image781.heic just that not the image itself, how do I fix this
ОтветитьOne disadvantage of MOCs that I have just realized after creating a few - I usually use the local graph of a zettel to find possible links between neighboring zettels. However, after adding a MOC that is connected to A LOT of notes, this will clutter the local graph, making it quite unusable.
ОтветитьThe best part is that the graph view is beautiful and useful!
ОтветитьNo need in Sliding Panes plugin any more. It's build in now. To stack notes, select the down arrow at the upper right corner of the tab group, and then select Stack notes.
ОтветитьCan you share your CSS setup please?
ОтветитьThank you. This is a great video. Extremely helpful. Easy to understand and makes it easy to just get started. It would be great to have an update matching the current Obsidian release. Some of the settings are now updated.
ОтветитьI took some ideas from the video and adapted them to my workflow and it's much better for me now, thank you very much for the video!
Ответитьdidnt know harry potter actually exist
ОтветитьThank you for this! I know I'm just adding to what everyone else already said, but this was exactly the kind of concise, no-boilerplate video I was looking for. Excited to try this out!
ОтветитьHow did you create that Template?
ОтветитьThis guy talks like Pontus Pilate in life of Brian
ОтветитьUnless I'm missing something obvious, which is totally possibly. The creating notes time stamp at 10 minutes does not seem to exist. Cntrl L adds check boxes
ОтветитьCreate a note with a search bar is not happening for me. I don't see the command listed in hot key area of setttings. Any help or dirctions. Thx,
Ответитьgreat video I dont think im clear on what the point of the Status hashtags are but I can figure out how I want to use that
Ответитьzettelkasten just means notebox
ОтветитьSuperb video! Concise and substantive. Also, thank you for actually showing examples of permanent notes/zettels.
ОтветитьHiya, dunno if you still read this, but can you provide more explanation on tags and how to use them? Great video by the way! Also, do you have other resources for zettelkasten note taking?
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьGreat video Artem. Refference notes sounds weird to me. Basically all the notes you make go to the Zettelkasten folder. Are references more like highlights and keytwords? For example you listen to a podcast and get an Idea which sticks so you make a note. That note is related to the podcast and you link at under at the reference page. But you also create the podcast episode as a new not which goes in the refference folder where you summorize what the speakers have talked about. Have I summarized it in a good way?
ОтветитьWaiting for video what changed in your system over the year!
Ответитьмай деар френд, вай ю спик инглиш, иф ты фром Раша? Плеас, объясни ми
ОтветитьIf I were taking notes on a class would I put the whole subject in one note, group it by date, or group it by subtopic?
ОтветитьHey Artem, it's been a year now since you uploaded this. Have there been any changes to your workflow?
ОтветитьJust to save future people some time, this is by far the SIMPLEST and easiest video to follow to get started with Obsidian and building your own Zettlekasten. I started with this video, and nothing else I've watched all day really compares. A very practical place to start! I also deeply recommend Nick Milo (Linking Your Thinking) and his videos for amazing videos that get you onboarded fast. The only reason I rate this video above Milo's is that his vids are more instructional guides to using Obsidian efficiently, not about crafting an ideal workflow.
Don't waste your day like me watching other videos, Artem and Nick's videos are all you need!
Really well explained! I love the concept of emerging structures indicating what the tags should be and then populating the MoC after that.
For the timelapses you show, is that an inherent feature within Obsidian? or do you need to enable that at the beginning to start recording the timelapse?
You saved me from losing my wits. This just works, I can already tell. Other creators seem to just show off their complicated systems.
ОтветитьHow did your setup change? Now almost two years later
Ответить@ArtemKirsanov: I admire your proposal. However, isn't a significant benefit of Obsidian its ability to let you construct your valued knowledge in a product-agnostic manner? The folder structure is also something that ideally should not be dependent on Obsidian (in this case, the graph view). I would certainly adopt your suggestion if there was a guaranteed method to eventually export all notes from your Zettelkasten folder into a folder hierarchy based on the emerging graph. This action would occur periodically, thereby turning the Zettelkasten folder into something more akin to an inbox folder. Doing so might not even impact the graph view, which means there would be no drawbacks to it. This approach would also ensure the independence of note organization from the Obsidian product. WDYT ?
ОтветитьI should have all my assignatures in the Zettelkasten folder? Or have a Zettelkasten folder for every assignature? Great video
ОтветитьThanks for this simple process, but you left out how you use your Files folder, please elaborate!
ОтветитьI learned from every second of this video! THANK YOU
ОтветитьGood to see that there are not only terrorists waging war in Russia but also people with brains.
I don't use the zettelkasten principle nor Obisidian but the video gives some interesting approaches to maybe try that...
Btw. what do you think about PARA?
How do you get the rainbow text in atom?
Ответитьwhat is atomic note?
ОтветитьYo thank you for the Plugins. Advanced Table & Admonation is very useful with their auto completion.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. This system feels more convenient for my workflow.
ОтветитьThat was helpful thank you
