Had this dream that I feel the team who made “The Birch” could handle wonderfully.

A bit of existential horror, where it’s actually a rather calm yet unsettling interview in a clearing in the woods with a woman who has been claimed by a plant known as “Witches Branch”.

This strain of Pinkish/Purple Weeping Bells is only found in the woods after a person has passed.

Presumably, the woman had interacted with it and been “cursed”, causing her entire body to slowly bloom and envelop into an entire bushel atop the original site.

She is fully conscious, though it is unclear (in the dream at least) if it is a painless or painful transformation, but it seems to be a rather soft-spoken and somber discussion of her thoughts about losing herself to this flora, knowing that she will be no more than a bushel in the forest.

Similarly, in that same dream there was a similar scenario but underwater, with the exception being that it was a woman effectively being turned into a statue of living coral, the only remnant of her humanity intact enough for onlookers to see is a singular portion of her eye, wide with panic as the coral slowly consumes her.
