This video seems like toxic masculinity and subtle coercion .
ОтветитьThe successive yesses method is a manipulation technique used in sales. It lacks integrity, and the understanding that people have to choose for themselves.
ОтветитьWow, so your friend taught you how to be a predator? This is NOT the purpose of the socratic method. It's meant to shine a light on logical truth, not to circumvent a woman's danger instincts, you creep.
ОтветитьThe way u explain this.....r u jelaous of ur friend...
ОтветитьThis is stupid and not helpful, delete it
Ответитьwell don't use this method against religion, i heard, Socrates die due to blasphemy
ОтветитьI knew this one
How could i forgot... because its good
This is the lost addendum to Socrates body of work, also known as "How to be a player". It was almost lost seeing as how it's not very platonic.
ОтветитьSocrates and his method has nothing to do with you picking up girls with yeses
ОтветитьPeople don't know this about Socrates, but he was most famous as a sleazebag pickup artist. The philosophy was just a side gig to furnish rohypnal and polyester leisure suits.
ОтветитьThank you.
Ответитьthat is not the Socratic method... But the technique of "yes yes" really work
ОтветитьI'm 2 years late but this is bully shitty, not socratic method. The socratic method was used to find truth.
ОтветитьAre you trying to explain the How to win friends and influence people🥂😁
ОтветитьHello there,
I have a question for you
After learning this method,
So, how will you approach to persuade your professor, that he was wrong?
This information + MORE is in the book How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie you guys should check it out it has a lot more tricks you can use:)))
ОтветитьI'll say that it's most likely that the professor was steeped in cognitive bias, but to be fair, text books are written by other professors, who can and do make mistakes and even their editors and colleagues could miss something...oh and while I'm at it, there are numerous conflicting opinions among experts on every subject. But if the professor thought differently, I would hope he would have considered that when he chose the book. But again, it probably was his bias and pride at work, great example. :)
ОтветитьThis like asking someone, "Hey, soccer is really fast paced and exciting, right?" Gets a yes. "And babies are really adorable, right?" Gets a yes. "How about we kick a baby?"
I guarantee you won't get a yes for that one.
the 'get to yes' strategy has been debunked
ОтветитьThe part when you was talking about how your friend manipulated girls to come back to your place was the part when I stopped listening.
ОтветитьI relate to this when I was in grade10, our student teacher made a mistake and I tried to correct him but he he keep insisting
Ответитьis it the same as Street Epistemology ?
ОтветитьThis is not the Socratic Method.
Ответитьdumbest video i've seen in a long time. Socratic Method != Yes Ladder
Ответитьreading a script is not persuasive... it is boring and artificial
ОтветитьNot sure Socrates meant for his method to be used to lure drunk women, but ok sure.
ОтветитьThat first story about the professor is so stupid. Wouldn’t we respect the professor more for admitting his mistakes?
ОтветитьI would love for someone to try and persuade me to vote for 45 using this method. Please.
ОтветитьI hate it when people take well meaning, empowering knowledge and use it to sell manipulative bull****.
Ответитьthis is manipulation <3
ОтветитьThis is low and dishonest. Wisdom should not be used to persuade people into our selfish desires.
As of the professor's example, he could be telling the truth and the book can be wrong, even if he himself wrote the book. The writer may have thought something to be truth in the past, and they now changed their mind due to knowing new information.
We can't take your word for it, that he was wrong. We would need the argument in the book, the professor to argue against it, and time to learn about the subject; all that plus an objective that makes worth to be fair judges, and determine whether you or him is right.
is the purpose of your video to have people understand you? and would you agree that its important for people to be able to comprehend what you are saying in order to gain that understanding? then do you think it would help to work on your accent so that people can hear what you are saying and gain understanding? ....
ОтветитьVerry good video-explanation BRAVO, love from Greece
ОтветитьIts NLP - he entrained them to agree.
ОтветитьElementary school stupid manipulative method. Only very stupid people can be "handled" this stupid way, its is as SOCRATIC as my ass, it is just stupid "appeal to authority" FALLACY.
Ответить1. Do you see the many negative comments below? (yes) 2. Do you see how they seem to concur that you didn't really describe the socratic method, but rather, a Dale Carnegie sales technique? (yes) 3. Do you see why this video was kind of a waste of time? (....?) . And there you have the socratic method.
ОтветитьThis sounds like manipulation.
ОтветитьUr very good at this stuff
ОтветитьI really like ur content
ОтветитьHere in this vedio, you are mixing two things.
Yes method is for convincing the people not to tell them that they are wrong.
Clear & simple explanation of the Socrates method.
ОтветитьDefinition of Socratic method
: the method of inquiry and instruction employed by Socrates consisting of a series of questionings the object of which is to elicit a clear and consistent expression of something supposed to be implicitly known by all rational beings.
Not getting a series of "Yes" answers.
Excellent movie with quite great images. Excellent movie with quite great photos. Excellent movie with quite proper images. Excellent movie with quite fine images. I have similar contents in my channel.
ОтветитьOlá, tudo bem ? Tenho uma proposta pra vocês, se puderem me responder no mensseger por gentileza !!!
ОтветитьNonsense! No one will party at a strangers house. No even after thousand Yeses
ОтветитьDid you had??? Seriously??? Did you have!!!
ОтветитьCan the socratic method me used to manipulate or in a intellectually dishonest way?
ОтветитьYou are right bud. I think I have been doing it wrong all this time. Thanks for the invaluable insight!
Could you recommend the books you spoke about on how to successfully persuade?
Typed in "Socratic method" & got "how to pick up chicks". Who's in charge of the algorithms around here!?
