I’m definitely gonna do the drum sander thing. Brilliant! Thanks
ОтветитьGreat ideas! But dont hold any piece of material whilst drilling, its an easy way to break fingers also dont leave the chuck key in the chuck to avoid it smacking you in the face!!
Ответитьcan i know the oil name which you are insert while drilling?
ОтветитьJust found your channel.
I love all the use of wood for making tools/jigs as my old go-to for 'scrap' metal place no longer pulls out the good stuff to sell 'retail'. Buying new steel is expensive, and I can always find wood around my historic district neighbor hood. People are always putting old wood out on the curb from homes that were built in the late 19th and early 20th century. One person's trash and all that.
Add a foot pedal (or electric motor and bellcrank) to number 4 and turn it into an oscillating spindle sander.
ОтветитьWhy does every have to bring up safety issues n points…. Who cares if someone prefers to work without safety glasses etc…. It’s their prerogative… I’ve been welding and machining for 20 years and still grind/cut without safety stuff to this day… not always but mostly without… why???? Cause I can…. Safe minded people create a world of zero risk people… a snowflake society that can’t execute in times of dire situations… yes safety is a good practice…. but keep it to yourself unless asked
ОтветитьAmazing ideas. After watching this video I'm putting aside the idea of buying a lathe and sander.
ОтветитьAlways remember to wear your bead safety bracelet when using power tools!
ОтветитьWatched more than a couple of vids like this. Anyone know why I would want to drill a hoie down the center of a bolt?
ОтветитьThis is SUPERB! I only have a little shed at the end of our garden but im slowly getting wood tools to convert my van into a camper. I have a table saw so far and loads of hand tools my Father left me. He was amazing at cabinet making and well....anything really. We lost him 2 years ago to the virus but hes taught me well. Your ideas will save me LOADS I wont have to buy a linisher or belt sander now. I also managed to score an antique drill press - but its built like a tank unlike modern ones! I use it with a moticing bit to cut slots its brilliant.
ОтветитьVery nice, thanks !
ОтветитьDrum sander - cool. No. 5 - uh, not so much. Too much time for what you get. Drill some holes in a scrap and have near you drill press - good enough.
ОтветитьThe drum sander and wire brush ideas are excellent. Eye/face protection is definitely a must. Great video. Thanks.
ОтветитьWhat the hell is he making now!! A bit holder, LOL!! Excellent finish to video!
ОтветитьGreat ideas, love these kind of videos, definitely will give your creative side a jump start, keep ‘em coming!
ОтветитьIsn’t this what drill press vises are for?
ОтветитьI like the drill press sander. Oh and the Snoop Dog (like) soundtrack
ОтветитьHow did u not burn ur hand picking up that screw. I figured it be hot
ОтветитьGreat Ideas, TY!
ОтветитьHow to make brown hands drip red
ОтветитьYep, lots of good ideas, I will do some of those, thanks.
Ответитьmany cool ideas! 👍
ОтветитьGreat ideas!
ОтветитьExcellent demonstration and really cool tips! What diameter threaded rod and bearing do you recommend for the sanding drum? Thanks much.
ОтветитьIn a few of these ideas I’m immediately focused in on the guy making this video and he isn’t lining up the drill bit to the centre of the marked Xs on the wood he is drilling.
This to me is annoying because for me buying a drill press means your wanting to make precise holes into whatever job you’re working on 😤🤯
Why in the bloody hell is it deemed absolutely mandatory to stick an obnoxiously repetitious "music" bed under a video? Is there some kind of law? Sound turned off very early on.
ОтветитьLet’s put a fascinating array of sharp objects in front of the off switch. What could go possibly wrong…
ОтветитьGREAT IDEAS THANKS
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your video. I enjoyed watching. Take care and God Bless.
ОтветитьTools designers are so wonderful people
ОтветитьУпор для стола нужен при сверление отгибается очень сильно!
ОтветитьIt was okay till he tightened the hex nut with pliers!!!
ОтветитьThanks, man.
Especially the first one (2nd drill chuck through the center hole) is a good one for me, as I have no low profile vise for my drill press stand yet.
(Needed a way to - as you did - drill out the center of a bolt)
The other ideas are nice as well - the 'vise' that's just 90° profiles. Might try that one too. Gotta see if I have something sturdy enough (:
C'est nouveau de pouvoir percer à contre sens (2) sinon bonne 💡
ОтветитьSome great idea's for a drill press thanks !
ОтветитьHow about a cassette tape rewinder? Use a 1/4" rod about 1" long, and a 1/4" long ID (inside diameter) rubber hose about 1/4" long as a clutch. Install the rod in the chuck, push the hose past the exposed end of the rod, turn the drill press on, push the rewind reel of the cassette tape into the exposed end of the rod.
ОтветитьPlease can anyone tell what glue did he use for the sander.
Thank you
After watching hack n'2 I thought save video ASAP.
ОтветитьYou ALWAYS cut plastic laminate with the top side down to prevent chipping.
ОтветитьAll those great power tools and no spanners ?
Ответитьonly useful thing made here thats actually cost efficient was the drill bit index. First thing i saw was the chuck taken off the head and mounted on the base, without dial indicators ,this is nearly impossible for the home diy'er and their home depot drill press to get two chucks perfectly centered and stay that way so that the hole in the bolt heads are perfectly centered and not wobble at speed. please stop putting up these "life hacks " that "will amaze you" , theyre nothing more than a dangerous situation.
ОтветитьIdea #1 - I'd suggest one improvement. Before fixing the lower chuck you may want to clamp a cylindrical object (e.g. a drill) in both chucks together. This will ensure their concentricity.
Idea #4 - you are only using a small part of your wonderful sanding drum. It will wear out in no time. Needs a way to use the whole surface more or less evenly.
General: your support is visually bending under even a soft pressure from above. I'd suggest to fix this.
Drilling steel without oil: What else are you going to do, to prove you don't know what you're doing?
ОтветитьWhich drill machine you are using can u suggest me
ОтветитьExcellente!!! Una pregunta: Que marca de taladro y modelo es tu taladro que usaste??¡
Ответить#3 - Make a fence, mark out a row of holes, then mis-align the workpiece and drill all the holes just slightly off the centre of the mark - Why?
ОтветитьLots of good ideas there.
