Despite being an AD and Producer some dude in my film class tried to get me to DP his film, I couldn’t go so I sent one of my actual DP friends in as a replacement and all the actors left cuz the director gave them the script 20 minutes before turnover

I genuinely used this to help me be more prepared on my first shoot as a film student lol.

I feel called out in a very special way, in that I'm the exact opposite of this (I'm a frantic worrying overpreparer,) but my short film would still end up looking exactly like it was made like this.

Literally saw a quite well shot short film that had unbearable audio recently and now it will be forgotten as no one has the time and money to do a full ADR / Foley + mixing for the thing…

Psychological horror or dramas
Crime thriller
Action
Zombie apocalypse
Or even personal dramas about death and grief.
