I did buy r5 5600 and oc it to 4.6ghz, and thats absolutely the same in case of performance, however u need AIO or some good qir cooler to do that

I think both chips are the same; they have the same potential to clock speed, and AMD just clocks the x a bit higher. The problem is that the stock cooler is horrible, and both CPUs can't reach the limit and the clock goes down a lot because of heat.

Get the cheap CPU and buy a good cooler; change the clock to the x model speed or a bit higher for free.

Just got the 5600 for £88 brand new. The 5600X is about £30+ more for a used one. I'm happy.

you gotta fixlock those clock speeds to defaults for this to be an accurate comparison.

Here you go. No reason to OC your 5600, instead do undervolting offset. I got it stable at -25 on all cores, didnt try even -30 but some do. Cool, stable...amazing undervolting potential with even better performance.

90% of the time I'm only a gamer playing games at around 1440 - 4k resolution. That other 10% could be for video editing but I don't do heavy enough video editing for anything better than a ryzen 5 5600 to be needed. My ryzen 5 3600 was enough for me but I need the extra performance with a new cpu.

I have 6700 xt 5600x and its brutal in far cry 6 i have 121 fps avg on ultra 1080p and u are telling that u have 117 avg with 3090? Cmon this is bullshit

In my country Turkey, there is a difference of 700₺ between the two processors.

I gave my brother in law the r5 5600 that I bought along with an ASROCK B550M Pro 4 motherboard... It worked straight out of the box and there was no need to update the bios... Motherboards with less than 8 power phase heat sync won't be able to fully utilize any 5000 series CPU... That being said, I'm happy with my r5 3600... Now just need to get a 6700 xt... GeForce RTX 40 series and AMD Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs tend to have less bandwidth and VRAM than the previous gen gpus... This gen is not recommended for gaming...

you tested all the games on high ultra setting. for a CPU test it would be much better to test on low settings mitigating GPU bottlenecking.

the ones with the x are for like anything else than playing games, better for render times from the higher speed.

For 30 euros I preffer the X version, it will overclock better and even whitout overclock it will last more time.

I got a 5600 for $118.99. I bought 10 of them.

Glad I bought the Ryzen 5 5600 instead of the 5600x. Kinda crazy to pay extra for maybe 5 fps. It's a $30 difference in the United States at the time I am writing this.

Keep in mind most of the games was GPU bottlenecked, so the difference is going to be smaller.

I can literally imagine that the fps difference is caused only cause there were flaws with the benchmarks and that's why it had a difference in FPS

Problem is when you play on high-end GPU is not that big difference l, it should be tested on mid GPU.

In France : 5600X 400€... 5600 : 260... No comment.

Now you can go for 1080p spend alot on getting that FPS

Where most often the GPU is the bottleneck. you can cheap out.
For example I use an Ryzen 3600 with RTX 3060 - follow a tweak guide i can play GTA V online at 4K and it looks mighty fine. Ok its old game, with lots of new updates.
As for monitor i use my 4K TV @ 60Hz which is fine for me.

As my game library isnt CSGO MWF etc shooters with every frame update per m/s counts. This is fine.
(BTW when i went from 1080 screen to 4K TV the difference was like i had installed a whole new GPU)

Build fit for purpose... Do you really need that RGB bling looking like a ufo on your desk ...with the small but over head on your system for that rgb softwares. Its not uncommon to come with bloatware or angle of exploit security risks either ..

RGB ram $ vs generic with good timings.
RGB case Fans or cheap 3 packs with decent bearings so some longevity.

I doubt the "need" vs $ - unless youre pro gamer ... or think you are one.

The problem is that cpus often don’t make a massive difference when just playing 1 game, where the big difference comes in is when you have multiple things open at once. For example when you’re streaming a game while in discord suddenly the 5600x will out perform the none x by quite a bit. Just testing performance in a game with nothing else besides some well optimised recording software won’t truly show the big difference between the 2

if anybody is trying to buy the ryzen 5600x just stop go and buy an intel i512400f or if you are on a budget just go with the ryzen 5600/the 5600x is just paying more money to get the letter x on you cpu

The problem of tests. you do understand that you have to test in games such as CS, Dota, valarant, varzon, etc.? in your games, the difference is rarely visible at all.
