It was snowing when they took the engine to the shop and it was sunny and clear when it left. How long did it take to machine everything?

I'd have loved to have seen the video finish with the motor being fired up on an engine stand.

Not trying to be rude but last night I was listening to this and I fell asleep and I was in a nightmare apparently what happened in the nightmare I was hacking a game and all of the sudden my AirPods started making a creepy noise and I couldn’t get it out so I go through what looks like many houses and my parents had blood red eyes saying “WELCOME TO HELL!” The I woke up and the noise was still there but then I sat up and it stopped

I just inherited a 1956 Desoto Firedome with a 291 Hemi. So this is all I have to do to restore the motor? Damn, I’m out of my scope here. What does this typically cost? I really need to know. I want to keep this car original if I can.

Love them 9/16" or 5/8" exhaust manifold bolts. Todays studbolts lack backbone.

I am GM guy, but I have to say, you cannot beat the shear presence of the Hemi motor, no matter what the cubic inch. Very impressive looking motor, that would be a perfect candidate for a little T-Bucket, tired of the small block fords and chevies, this is the motor they need to impress!

I wish they would do a 318 next!

Can you do the Stovebolt 261 mister?

Question for mechanics out there, I saw them grinding and taking layers of metal off. Arnt these pieces fine tuned to super small measurements with the pistons and various moving parts. I can’t image the engine could still opperate with all these layers of metal changing the pistons and shafts fitting flush. I forget the word but something called “machined” down to a specific thickness where all pieces work in very tight tolerances. That’s the word, tolerance?

Gets very hard to watch after a while because when you speed up footage you didn’t blur the motion so the eyes are straining with these crystal clear images jumping into and out of frame so fast. A little soft filter on the motion would help the super fast jumps of peoples hands and tools
