I was 13 when this came out, great times

This really was the movie that saved Marvel's ass. I remember showing this to my class and everyone thought it was going to suck. Including me. But you couldn't blame us. Spider-Man 3, Rise of The Silver Surfer, and X-Men Last Stand were all letdowns at the time. But I was wrong. This movie was and still is incredible, launching one of the biggest cinematic narratives in film history.

And also, remember before this, Iron Man wasn’t very popular in comparison to Spider-Man, X-Men or Fantastic Four. Now everyone knows Iron Man’s name.

I remember preemptively shitting on this movie after seeing this trailer, as the only member of my friend group who really knew the character, I was so confident that this would be a sloppy incoherent mess. Maybe my favorite time in my life that I’ve been wrong

I skipped school to see this. When I saw this trailer, I felt something. I couldn't put it into words but I just knew, that this will be something else, something more than just a superhero movie. It just felt so different back then....

It's 2025, this movie is nearly 17 Years old.

And no matter how you feel about the state that the MCU is in, you can't deny that this movie stands on it's own as one of the best and is worth re-watching.

I especially love how the trailer used Black Sabbath's 'Iron Man' song in it's promotional marketing. It really got people's attention back then.

This trailer introduced me to 3 songs that to this day I still rock out to, that being Hell Above Water by Curve, Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter and of course Iron Man by Black Sabbath. What a time to be alive the 2000's were.
