What are you thoughts on pre Clovis immigration to the Americas?
ОтветитьThe Clovis people had their lands stolen from them by tribal colonists who came thousands of years later onto the North American continent via the Bering Straight. Today, we call those colonist tribes Native Americans. The Clovis people were completely genocided out of existence by the Native Americans. No sanctuary reservations for the poor Clovis people.....just eternal extinction.
ОтветитьSo basically humans originated in Antarctica and they walked into South America from the south when it used to be connected. They also walked into Africa. It's the only explanation that makes sense. Bering Strait crossing is ridiculous. Allegedly it happened 15,000 years ago but we find footprints that are 50,000 years old in North America.
ОтветитьAfter the comet, the American Indians population came in to occupy the emptied lands.
ОтветитьCould the clovis have hunted mammoth by letting the larger predators, like the sabertooths, kill the animal, the drive off the predators with their spears and atlatls(not sure the spelling)
ОтветитьA removable shaft would also get lodged in an animal, continuing to do damage. It would kill them faster, potentially, as it tore its way through a running or fighting animal.
ОтветитьClovis gang
ОтветитьLooks like you can still use you can use them
ОтветитьThey had all kinds of tools and ivory also okay thank you
ОтветитьI love the arrow head beautiful I would want to see the people Ana’s children to how they lived
ОтветитьIf I didn't know any better this video would lead me to believe that advertisements were the most clovisist artifact of all clovis artifacts...
ОтветитьI've come across several of your productions recently & been quite impressed. Subscribed.
For what it's worth - and I haven't really studied the matter - I think that the earliest inhabitants of the Americas were the Clovis, who came from Europe via the Viking route, and penetrated as far as the Rockies. At about the same time came the NE Siberians, who quickly penetrated present-day Canada & the USA west of the Rockies, eventually reaching S America. The penetration of both in what is now the USA was only partial, leading to collaboration in much of America west of the Rockies.
You deserve much more thank you. I hope these are preserved in many ways, save these gold mines in different ways and places, one day you will be thanked.
ОтветитьOne question
How can a sabertoothed lion get his mouth opened far enough to get it passed the sabers to eat anything
Kinda impossible that it lived
My guess is the bone shaft thingies are tools used to work with skins/ hides. Scrapers for removing the fat from the hides without puncturing them. Or perhaps levers used to remove the skins from animals by separating the skin from the flesh which is not as easy as it sounds. The same type of tool you would use to debark a tree but much smaller . That would explain why they're often found with bone tools...........all part of a hunters tool kit. Sharp but not sharp enough to cut or puncture.
ОтветитьThe deeper we dig, the older we realize the human race existed in multiple parts of the world. Why should we think North America had to be inhabited by people migrating.
ОтветитьI think the disapperance of the mammoths and giant sloths prove native populations were not vegetarians.
ОтветитьWOW! I love this kind of stuff!
ОтветитьOh no don't tell the CCP they will redraw their "ancestral" ancient china map
ОтветитьLittle Shell Tribe Montana GN
ОтветитьThis voice did put me to sleep in less than 10 minutes 😂😂😂
Ответитьso why do many sites destroyed and flooded by tva Tennessee river?
ОтветитьHow much good evidence do we have for ANYTHING 30,000 years ago? And where are the bones of the closest people?
ОтветитьExcellent
Ответитьover hunting... lol you can't even find their bodies. everything you said is speculation stated as fact. all we have is spear points that's it.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьI like to think the Bible is correct and that after the flood men lived longer and though they were thrown into the stone age by the flood, their minds and body were sharp and strong. Imagine how good you might get after a hundred years of practice. As time went on men's lives were shortened until now we are three score and ten. I mean no offense but I live by this faith.
ОтветитьAs a person who lives in New Mexico, this is very interesting to learn about. My ancestors were probably here.
Ответитьthere were people in North America before the Clovis People came but the Clovis People get credit for being the first to arrive.
ОтветитьMans said arrows were made by cappuchin monkeys…
ОтветитьCompletely skipped over the fact that the Clovis Spearhead/point was also found in Europe, that's how it's known that the "Clovis" people were European in origin. In both countries there was also found Clovis spearpoints that were used in the exact same religious ceremony, they were both completely the same in every way. The Clovis are Europeans.
ОтветитьThe olmec heads in Mexico. Oldest monuments yet ....
Peru and Chile have pyramids older than Africa. It seems there is a missing land bridge from western Africa. How long has maiz been in Africa?
Also sea fairing Polynesians may have predated the clovis folks.
I think it is stupid of you to ignore the Mammoth find. For example, mixed with the bone pile were bone tools used for cutting, the bones were broken in an unnatural way, they were piled up and then the head placed on top. So to say it was inconsequential???
ОтветитьThe so-called 'coastal route' means merely the coast of Beringia, not the Aleutian Islands which are invisible and unreachable from Siberia. The one stepping stone island group are the Komandorsky Islands - home of Steller's sea cow, which was easily exterminated by people after the islands' discovery by Vitus Bering! I.e. humans had NEVER crossed the islands previoiusly.
ОтветитьThere is a Y-chromosome variant shared between South Amerindians and Australian Aborigines indicating that archaic human DNA was transmitted to individuals who once inhabited both continents.
ОтветитьClovis first theory is now known to be pseudo-archaeological BS. Humans were active in the Americas at least 130,000 years ago and no, we didn't wipe out all Northern megafauna overnight... How ridiculous that notion is.
ОтветитьI have found various pieces that predate native American in the Ozarks.
Ответитьnice video on clovis , well researched ! i am glad you raised both sides of the nuanced debates surrounding the overkill /clovis first and other issues and mystery surrounding paleo and clovis america , lots of interesting talking points for future videos perhaps ? deserves a new sub !
ОтветитьI believe based on oral history and the tribe's natural habit of conservation and not overharvesting... I believe those stories and those conservation ideals came from the end of the Clovis Culture due to the end of the ice age and the dying off of the megafauna. Did the Clovis people have something to do with it? Of course, they did... The younger dryas caused all other food sources to die out or move south. It didnt help any that the Megafauna population was more than likely starting to begin its steep decline due to the overall global warming that continued after the oceans warmed back up after the Ice Age floods and has continues to this day.
The Clovis Culture ended up breaking up into multiple more than likely hostile/warring factions that spread out over the Great Plains and East Coast as it continued to warm. As the Megafauna died out so did the people which only speed up that process. War was a constant, resources were scarce the American south couldn't support the Clovis Culter in its entirety so the process of war and peace continued on until the Europeans arrived causing the final end to the original peoples.
The entire inland route would have been an inland sea surrounded by walls of Ice or a vast long frozen desert with little to no life similar to Antarctica today.
The one or two-migration theory is silly as well. It was more a continued migration that started around 30,000ish years ago nearing the end of the ice age and finely stopped around 15,000ish years ago once the crossing became too dangerous. Moved by boat, raft and by foot from there down the coast spreading rapidly all the way down to the southernmost tip of South America and even more rapidly inland to the Great Planes and further east.
The explanation for the difference between the West Coast tips and the Clovis tip is down to the sheer difficulty of the return trip from the Great Planes back to the west coast. Traveling east is easy. Start in early fall, make your way through to the desert during the winter and as you reach the planes it's spring. Doing that in the reverse is impossible and you're going to succumb to the elements. Just ask the western European settlers ;)
The lack of evidence of the middle ground between the two is more than likely just has not been found, or have all been destroyed due to ice age flooding because everyone at the time would have lived along the valleys and rivers that got wiped out.. and sea level rise. I also wonder about the material they used.
[extra: Let's not forget about the 3rd (second) migration to the Americas BEFORE the 4th (third), the Europeans arrived... The Polynesian's arrived on the West Coast of South America 1100-1300 years ago and more than likely spread and interbreed with the Original people from the south all the way up to the Continental Divide of which the original people didn't have to deal with as they were able to use the less steep coast before all of the ice melted causing higher sea levels. ]
That was a good video. 👍
ОтветитьClovis came from Spain this has been proven
ОтветитьIn Manitoba, we pronounce Agassiz as "Ag A see" with "Ag" pronounced as in the name "Agnes".
ОтветитьWhite washed. Because white people have no culture literally none at all. So you take other peoples
ОтветитьWhite peoples are new and we’re not originally in America. Black people were even look up Clovis people they’re black
ОтветитьI regret the reckless attitude we Europeans had. After studying history for a long time .
It appears to me that in our greed we destroyed many civilizations so we could claim that the people there were savages destroying themselves and needed out council to survive.
Then we dismantled their civilization so no one could prove otherwise.
As we spread our disfunction across the globe we destroyed everyone's intellectual property and wealth.
Now that we hade ruined life here for almost all of Humanity.
We lament all that we missed ,that these civilizations had to offer.
Wisdom, knowledge, and intelligence, flushed down the toilet over greed.
I can only speak for myself, buy I am ashamed of this!
Why are you still using the "indian" word? That is not only an anachronism but also it demonstrates ignorance. Indians are those from India. That's it. Like you said it, ancient populations of America came from east north Asia, not from India. That is also proven by genetics. There is no such thing of America paleo-indians and less American Indians.
ОтветитьWell not to long ago they found foot prints in the white Sands of New Mexico. They were along a ancient lake bed. They were also lucky enough to find seeds ,
above and below the footprint. Which means they could carbon dathey did. 23,000 thousand years ago.10,000 year before Clovis could of arrived. They are running a Documentary of on NOVA
i think we walked to s. america from the southern hemisphere during a ice age. polynesians probably crossed the pacific from the pacific islands. in the north it seems the siberians walked into the north of north america.
chines circular stone anchors have been found off california. also some may have come from europe when we had a ice age in the north. salutrean type ancestors.i think there has been several times our ancestors came to the americas, really we were following animal migrations.
perhaps we don't know what happened to clovis but we do know over hunting has destroyed animal populations many times and we do know comets have changed weather patterns many times on earth. that's what happened to clovis isn't it.
