Looking back at the manga and the anime, I think the most notable physique to tell the difference between the Attack and Founding titan is that all Attack Titans look like demons and devils.

Here's what I find ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT about the Attack Titan as a concept..

All the titan's are named after some power/feature they possess.
Like.. Collosal Titan: Collosal and big, Armored Titan: Armor-plated etc. etc.

But the Attack titan doesn't necessarily have any "attack" capabilities any more than the rest.. It has future-predicting capabilities. What gives it the title of "Attack" is the attack-and-move-forward nature of its inheritors.

But as we know that those behavioral tendencies are something Eren passed back to all his past inheritors, influencing them with his memories.

It's not the power that is the "Attack titan".. Eren IS "The Attack Titan"

Eren became very obsverant as seen in his fight against the Warhammer Titan so I would imagine that during the scene where Grisha saw Zeke, Eren tested out if he could send memories to his father being inside a memory in case of manipulating the past if necessary.
