This is by far the most phenomenal hunting adventure ever captured on film. Alaska is beautifully brutal.
ОтветитьI killed two big bull elk in Montana in 1971. It took 3 days to get them out. I never wanted to hunt them again and didn't.
ОтветитьAmazing ❤❤❤
ОтветитьSome hairdo does it help bring in the elk? Do they think your a spike 😂 just fun no harm
ОтветитьWhat a amazing hunt nothing can compare
ОтветитьAwesome hunt how would you even get a elk with all that rain
ОтветитьGreat video, i know that feeling after you kill an elk and reality sets in that your going to have to work hard to get it out
ОтветитьWhat an incredible journey experience. Fighting with all the weather elements around you, Donny getting sick & having a bear take 2 bags of meat sure made it a tough challenge to overcome. Glad all made it out safely! This is sure one if not thee best videos from you guys I've seen yet! God bless!
ОтветитьThat's some tough looking country, but beautiful.
ОтветитьWell that was amazing. Keep up the awesome work!
ОтветитьGREAT VIDEOED HUNT LIKE A DOCUMENTARY THE REAL DEAL. CONGRATULATIONS BUT YOUR NUTS!!! LOL
ОтветитьCory yall should throw a couple fishing poles on your pack and fish them lakes.
ОтветитьI think this might be my favorite film
ОтветитьTragedy + time = comedy
ОтветитьBrutal, unforgiving country
ОтветитьNo food...? Haha you just bagged 20,000g of protien
ОтветитьWow you guys are tough !! Congratulation on your helk and kodo for all of you . I can not imagine doing this . Thank you for taking me to your incroyable journey . Cheers !
ОтветитьWow..... Congrats!!
ОтветитьI have applied numerous of times for a tag in Alaska. I hope one day I can see and feel the warmth of the beauty God has created.
ОтветитьA true story of perseverance!
ОтветитьIt has been years for me in making comments but you guys are great. Love the hard work and good living. I have hunted Elk on Etolin in Alaska, I live here in S.E. Alaska. I have been to the lake you flied into. Tough place if your not use to it. Good rubber rain gear is a must. When hunting lower ground, breathable waders is what we hunt in. Good high top, water proof boots is a must. I like the airbob soles for the wet glass and moss. The light weight traps are also a good thing to have. If it is warm enough you may find us in just light long underwear under our rain gear. Easy to move in. You are right, this is not your normal place to hunt, no roads, very few people and help is hours or a day away. I always carry a VHF radio here. Very nice Bull. Glad it did not cost you guys much more pain then it did.
ОтветитьThis is the best documentary I have ever watched!!!!!!
ОтветитьI think most species of animals the farther you go north the bigger they grow, not sure why that is? You would think it would be the opposite. I watch hunting shows and they show Texas or Mexico white tails with huge racks and they look petite compared to a 3 to 4 hundred pound Alberta white tail? Walking in that north country is deceptively difficult. A flat meadow looks like an easy stroll with shin tangle at every step and climbing a mountain side through the alders can seam almost impossible! You got to have a strong constitution to do those trips but the memories are priceless.
ОтветитьWhat area of Alaska was this?
Ответитьhow come he didnt shoot it when he was calling him in he seemed so close?
ОтветитьAs a 2% member... I'd like to congratulate you on your successful hunt.
ОтветитьWow what a hunt and a massive bull. You guys are some tough dudes. I have packed out a few rocky mountain elk(in my younger days) but nothing even close to what you had there. Total respect to you all.
Ответить"Hey wanna be our camera guy for an epic elk hunt?"
"Sure what do I have to do?"
"Nothing, just film us and we will pretend you're not even there. It'll be easy."
Narrator: "It was, in fact, not going to be easy."
A few Roosevelt Elk over on Afognak too. Tough hunting for sure. We did it in quite a bit of rain and more rain. LOL. nothing wrong with water I guess. beautiful where you are at for sure! Those elk can cover some dang ground. spot em then pursue and they are gone! LOL Great hunt gentlemen.
ОтветитьStuds! What a grind! But got a giant pig of an elk. The back strap looked like an anaconda! Congratulations on a hunt of a life time! How many men can say they did this? I’m in awe!
ОтветитьMan you should have been better prepared to spend the night away from camp , I know you know that now . Donny not fully over COVID and a hurt knee. Man you guys pushed your selves to the limit . Great video and hunt this is one you guys will not forget. As a older man I wonder if you were feeling like maybe you are getting to old for this extreme hunting.
ОтветитьI don`t understend English, but this hunting is really nice.
ОтветитьThis is a very late post! I finally made the time to watch this hunt. It was on my radar since it was post. Life gets busy. First and foremost excellent Job Gentleman! That was true grit and determination! Way to stick with it! What a hunt! You were all warriors! Thank you for sharing! I have no excuse now when it comes to packing my first bull! I will always remember this and I will put in all the work needed when I finally get my first bull down! 🙌🏼👏🏼🔥

I would assume that the elk is about 800lbs.
