We were told we had DU armor to the point we had radiation briefings to convince us there was no more radiation inside the tank than if we were standing outside in the summer sun. The DU is much more dense than steel so it was better armor, think AR500 body armor vs mild steel. There is definitely no spall liner. Just cold hard steel.....hurts a lot if you're not wearing an ACH.

Literally every decision Gayjin has ever made has been wrong, stupid, and/or deliberately antagonistic to their player base. This is why they will never see a penny of my money, and I would encourage everyone else to close their wallets as well.

On the topic of spall liners, there are numerous retired Abrams crew members who've said that their m1a1s had spall liners and that there was 2 layers one being the most inside layer of the turret and hull and one surrounding the crew. They also go about explaining how the Abrams in game has 2 fuel tanks where irl they were radiators, and that their m1a1s had DU packages while in the Middleeast.
