Patrick asked to add to the story something he forgot to share. While the builder of the guesthouse was Heinrich Lesmeister, he was known as Henry once he came to Pocahontas. His wife Martha died several years before he did, and on her tombstone he wrote "Martha Lesmeister, wife of Heinrich Lesmeister", but on his own tombstone, several years later, he is only called Henry Lesmeister. So by then he was fully Americanized! Or, at least his children were.
