am a simple guy, I get notification from B1M I stop all and watch
ОтветитьSkyscrapers are the superior form of architecture
ОтветитьYou need to factor in the aging population, decreasing population, etc… no need for high rises
ОтветитьOld buildings are better than boring tall concrete rectangle jungles.
Ответитьsince when the fuck Moscow is in Europe?
ОтветитьThere are many high-rise buildings in Moscow.
ОтветитьEurope does have skyscrapers just not as many
ОтветитьTheirs a church in a town
When you watch from the top you dont see the town, you see trees the houses are 2-3 meters shorter than the trees
It looks more like a forest
We simply have prettier buildings.
ОтветитьKiev and Warszawa have tons of mid and high-rises, but not much over 150M.
ОтветитьI'm European and I hate the backwardness. They are fixated on their old culture and traditions and attach great value to it. Personally I prefer the pioneering and forward thinking mindset of Americans. Europe is overdoing regulation and legislation, stifling innovation and entrepreneurial liberation for the masses. It is suffocating.
Ответитьlook at the new karlatornet in gothenburg 245 m high
ОтветитьSkyscrapers are a monstrosity, an abomination of modern humans. I would prefer to live in a small wooden house in a Forrest than to live in a big apartment inside a skyscraper
ОтветитьWe used to build towers in the middle ages competing for the tallest one to show off the power or the wealth of each family/corporation/institution, but we've largely grown out of it during the Renaissance
ОтветитьA qualcuno piace vivere in un grattacielo?
ОтветитьBecause unlike American they have class.
ОтветитьLive in a Scandinavian city dating back at least 1300 years. We just got our first skyscraper, it had a lot of contention around it during planning and early construction, but due to the unique situation around placement and such it honestly isn't terrible. However I wouldn't want anything like it placed in the city center.
It has been placed on what is basically reclaimed land out in the sea in front of the old city, rather than in the old downtown itself. Everything around it is new and modern, so it doesn't clash with anything nearby. The city itself is also placed in a valley which equalizes the height between the sea level skyscraper and the city behind it, so the skyscraper doesn't noticeably jut above the city skyline and clash with it. It is mainly visible looking out towards the ocean or coming in from the ocean.
After it has been built I have noticed some of the biggest detractors turning around and going "it's actually not bad." I personally never cared either way given the place it was being built, but I would still be against something like it built in the ancient parts of the city itself.
From my residence I have basically full view of the city skyline from the southern side of the valley, can see all of the city and even the ocean from my windows, and honestly the new skyscraper looks much better than the industrial harbor beyond it currently, or the old industrial harbor it replaced.
Renaissance, philosophy, scientific revolution and liberal arts made Europe distinct
from the rest of the world.
New skyscrapers are so ugly.
ОтветитьSkyscrapers are UNECOLOGICAL
ОтветитьAs as european I think it sucks imo. We are making our continent look like medieval village
ОтветитьSay what you want about your "infrastructure" or "architecture"but I think skyscrapers are way way way cooler than anything else
They give you this massive and amazing perception
Amazing Video!!
ОтветитьI really hope they keep it this way.
ОтветитьAND THAT’S WHY I LOVE EUROPE AND I’D LOVE TO LIVE THERE SOMEDAY 😭✨
ОтветитьThe reason why Europe does not have a lot of skyscrapers is because skyscrapers are impractical. You can get much more you said a super blocks, which is Europe has. Skyscrapers basically only exist as an engineer masterpiece. It does not mean that they are by any means symbols of freedom. And America is a car centric hell scape. The Europeans made the right choice. Which is why when I am an adult, I will move to Europe.
Ответитьwhy Tokyo hasn't long history but hasn't any skyscraper?😢
ОтветитьI'd be sad if we'd destroy those old buildings, they make cities so cozy and fun to walk in. If we need skyscrapers I hope we'll just build them in a district or even just build a new city.
ОтветитьSkyscrapers are so inefficient when it comes to general costs and energy that they're not worth building, especially when a 10-story residential block does it better
Ответить“Why Europe doesn’t build skyscrapers” proceeds to show an image of Europe with skyscrapers💀
ОтветитьCan you also do a video on how in Europe builders are not allowed to block the view. For example in Seattle builders can build high and block your view of the water or mountain but in Italy they can not block your view of the water
ОтветитьNot every piece build skyscrapers, hell not even in the states. DC is a big example of a metro city that doesn't and have by law skyscrapers or buildings higher than a certain height.
ОтветитьI really wonder if europe will get skyscraper structures for housing at least given declining birth rates. For office space its also questionable given work from hom trends and increased wage inflation plus all other inflation/csost related to maintaining an office. All this inflation likely driving employers to reduce their use of office space. Lets hope all these factors work together to keep Europe as it is fir the most part. Also, US and Asia got the skyscrapers cuz they were new, growing economies (and urban scapes) at a time Europe was already a mature economy and urban environment. Today its even more old so i dont perceive there ever being the kind of growth that'll necessitate these structures.
ОтветитьIf only my city of Gothenburg would have watched this...
ОтветитьSkyscrapers just aren't that good to build
ОтветитьSo Europe Is A Museums
ОтветитьI find beauty in the mixture between the modern and the classic, I love skyscrapers right beside classic historial buildings and beautiful green spaces
ОтветитьHigh rise building in Europe only london
ОтветитьIt feels to me like most skyscrapers are completely useless. I guess I understand it for a place like Manhattan where you can't expand because of the river. Otherwise, I think it makes a lot more sense to expand the metro network and just make the city bigger but keep everything midrise. I mean look at Dubai, they are building skyscrapers in the desert, how stupid can you be. The money required and the negative effects of these things are both humongous. Invest that in public transportation infrastructure and parks and you will obtain a far more livable city in my opinion.
Ответить* insert Adam Something here *
My favorite part though if you need to build skyscraper is like you try to keep up against problems
World tallest skyscraper definitely not no.1 for that * insert poop truck here *
because europe since the early 90s is becoming a 3rd world continent....
ОтветитьEurope is the most beautiful continent, full of rich history.
ОтветитьLondon says otherwise
ОтветитьThe USA is still doing what Brussels did. Our tax laws support it, giving developers financial incentives to build new infrastructure instead of restoring the old. Most people don’t like it but we don’t get a say in the matter.
ОтветитьWhat our cities need most, is not skyscrapers but trees.
ОтветитьI used to be one of those people who thought old-looking cities should replace their buildings with modern skyscrapers to look more like a true city. Now I really admire and appreciate European cities preserving their architectural heritages and cultural identity within the architecture. And let's not forget that some European cities are among the best in the world in terms of urban planning.
ОтветитьSince when is turkey part of Europe? Forget Skyscrapers, the country you speak of has more mosques than any other Arab country. Also, geographically it's located in Asia Minor. Furthermore, having 5% percent soil at thrace does not make Turkey a European country, so don't be ridiculous. Geographically and geopolitically, that country isn't part of Europe.
ОтветитьIn my old home town utrecht the tallest building was a church
ОтветитьFred Mills, the creator of these videos is an amateur and at times an outright liar who uses footage that is misleading, like showing shots of cities which are not even those cities and reports that are not balanced and truthful. He can not be trusted and has an agenda. He has also been accused of being a hater and biggot.
