What i'm about to say, may be deep for some, over generalisation for some and obvious for others, but, the fact is that to understand why Britain could do what they did, you have to understand how it's past has been, they have been ruled and attacked by legions of army from it's neighbouring countries and they were fiercest forces of their times, they had to deal with harsh cold environments, so it was struggle always, the Saxons, Vikings and Romans heavily influenced their cultures and mating with them created a cross genetic pool of people with dnas of different fierce and once formidable forces of past times, even civil wars inside the country heavily changed a lot, Britain if i dare say, is not a pure blooded culture , so when referring to Britons we are referring to this mix of centuries of concoction of battles, inventions to sustain the life, military operations and related things hardened them and that gave rise to this.
