this is a necro, but i am wondering what the "clean" settings are on that amp ? i am trying to replicate the sound but cant
ОтветитьThe clone sounded nicer at its settings ... but yeah its marginal and probably as he says just a matter of slightly adjusting the drive on the klon to reach parity.
Anyone who would spend even multiple hundreds on a $5 (thats with markup) circuit is a moron.
this is a show about guitar pedals, but nicks drums sound pretty great.
ОтветитьI bought a Caline Pegasus ‘cos I thought it sounded good. Stoked to think your comparison couldn’t tell the difference between it and the original ‘number 2’ Centaur. 😬
ОтветитьIdk, because I only started watching not long ago, but if you do t I would buy an album of your music, or if you have any what are they called?
ОтветитьHey Josh, thanks for the great job over the klon history… hype and share all of your know how about pedals… if you need a guy to clean the dust of the pedal-room please contact to me… im so glad to do the job… greetings…
ОтветитьThis video might lower the price of the used Klon Centaur market
Ответить“Origin of a new species..” Josh is the effects pedal Darwin.
ОтветитьI’m rocking a StewMac Ghost Drive (klone). Sounds just as good, and it was a fun DIY pedal project:
ОтветитьNo. You didn’t plug Raid Shadow legends. Now I have to unsubscribe. Dammit.
ОтветитьI'll give the drummer a Klon if he can quit saying "Like" STOP-STOP-STOP saying "LIKE"
ОтветитьCrafting artifacts sounds like saving bottle caps
Ответитьas ever so often on this channel, i came for the pedal, stayed for the jams.
ОтветитьI want to get one of those enclosures and put random other pedal circuits in them like delay or tremolo or chorus pedals.
ОтветитьCould care less about any overdrive, distortion, fuzz pedal. I'll take another cascaded gain stage thank you very much.
ОтветитьNot many people know this but if you plug a tube screamer in reverse you get the centaur thing. The tricky bit is to switch seamlessly between one sound and the other while soloing.
ОтветитьBorn and raised in Alaska. Love the sweater 😊
ОтветитьA little disingenuous of Bill to put on the KTR that he doesn't have anything to do with the crazy klon prices and then sells them for thousands of dollars on ebay
ОтветитьKTRs are going for 1k on reverb in 2023 lol
ОтветитьI think my soul food sounds really close to a real klon and the slight difference in the higher gain setting I can live with for the price it's great
ОтветитьOfftopic, but that BASS sound is to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ответитьi don`t want one of these! centaur pedals, but
what do you think about roger mayer voodoo vibe
(junior) ,do a review of roger mayers stuff! plz.
I routinely use the Minotaur to push the Rams Head fuzz in my Helix. I friggin love the way it sounds!!
ОтветитьIt's just a three button overdrive pedal at the end of the day. I don't get the hype. I'd go for a Boss OD.
Ответитьi have a bunch of Klon clones, and I was one of those guys that always said I thought the Klon was overrated and too expensive......then I bought one. You just don't understand how great the Klon is until you're actually playing a Klon.
ОтветитьJ Rocket makes a Archer with the "Jeff Mod." It comes in Silver with black knobs and Copper with black knobs. It is a Sweetwater Exclusive. The "Jeff Mod" combines the original Archer with the Archer Ikon circuits.
If you have to ask who Jeff is...well he is jamming with Jimi Hendrix, EVH, and Randy Rhoads with John Bonham, Keith Moon, Neil Peart, and Taylor Hawkins on Drums...plus Les Paul and Buddy Rich too.
People need to remember that something can be both overhyped and very very good. That pedal sounds great but overall it is incredibly overhyped
ОтветитьI’d rather have my morning glory 🤷🏼♂️
ОтветитьWatched a shoot out between new Mosky and your 1st pedal clone on the right other day. Again the $29 pedal held up. Was so good I bought one. Wow
You said would do one, then talk so much, repeatedly going over same points of the original. I like the video, but you switched to fast between comments, talk less, try do 4 name brands and 4 entry level low cost.
Whats you opinion of all multi effects like the Boss GP 10? I can get most any sound out of mine. It is also important to use an amplifier most can afford and a show single/ Humbuckers.
NEW T-SHIRT IDEA: “Somebody, mute their mic!!!”😂😂😂
ОтветитьBoss OD-20 also has a CENTA-OD drive type. Was a good multi-drive pedal back in the day in the early 2000's.
ОтветитьI will be the first one to make a PEPEGASUS pedal. ©®™
ОтветитьDude is getting PAID for making his Klon. He deserves it.
ОтветитьAll this Klon info is great but can we get some info on that Raphael Ninja Turtle...?
ОтветитьLouder is key. I just did a frequency comparison between the Tumnus & the Mosky Silver Horse & they look very similar.
ОтветитьI got a Ryra Klone and it's honestly so close if you didn't see that it wasn't a actual Klon you'd never know in a live situation. As they say "Close enough for Jazz"
ОтветитьHey Post a photo of Bill, it’s all about him
ОтветитьIs klon or clone essential ?
ОтветитьOn an online Klon binge as of late, loving this clip! The JHS Klone and the likes of the Nordvang - really hard to tell them apart from a Centaur even when you watching them being switched.... then harder still with eyes closed..... then in a mix all bets are off! Why oh why oh why do I want a Centaur so much regardless!?
ОтветитьHEY!! Nick wore this "shirt" at the BILT GUitar show yesterday!!
ОтветитьBill didn't actually design the Klon completely he commissioned some MIT engineers to assist him ..so he didn't solely
ОтветитьI have one and built some clones not my thing ...boring 💤 just like the TS ...
ОтветитьWhen is the metal klon coming out?
ОтветитьNick has an awesome “guitar face” while playing drums
ОтветитьThe bass player in his videos always playing with a pick near the bridge because he makes the mistake of using an alder body bass instead of an ash one to easily get the sound he wants reminds me of Eric Johnson sounding like a freaking robot his whole life because he is plucking the strings upward trying 2 sound like a Telecaster (ash, instead of a Stratocaster = alder) = his words, not mine =)) PLAY A TELECASTER then = OMFG LOL!! Just imagine all these years he could have sounded 'normal' instead of 'mechanical' HAHAHA
