I use the Defy wood stain. One thing to consider is that when you are using a spray gun, make sure you use enough for it to soak in, you can’t really apply a second coat according to defy. The first time I used it I found that I only used up half of what I should have. If you’ve got time I would use a brush for applying instead of using one for just back brushing. Always back brush with a spray gun paint sprayer. My coat lasted 2 years, it would have lasted much longer had I applied the correct amount. customer service is pretty good, if a bit monosyllabic.

What about Cutek Extreme?

What do you use on a deck that is partially new pressure treated wood and partially old solid stain covered wood? I can’t imagine that semi transparent would work even after vigorous power washing on the old stained wood. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Guys, can somebody explain me what happens with the color of pressure treated wood once the stain is applied? The pressure wood being sold is light brown and I need the deck to be light (~color of the sand). Can I get this with the stains or do I have to use a paint?
