how about after effects? Not export times, but real work - loading of timeline, scrubbing, stabilizing footage. I wanted to switch from old i5 32GB win desktop to MAX/64GB machines to be able to edit 6K PRORES timelapse videos, but testing AE on M1 MAX studio with 32 GB ended up terrible. I was on quarter resolution and timeline loading took forever, just as on my old win machine. So where is the crazy video editing power? I would love to know where is the catch...:-(

Just ordered one… can’t wait to retire my 2013 16gb 500g MacBook Pro. It’s been a solid champ for 10 years and never once given me an issue. It’s still going strong to this day but it’s time for a new one, that will again last me 10 years lol

I’m about to get one after only having a 2013 13in pro for the past few years and I’m hyped through the roof to get a 14in

Does he work on that too that it just looks so pleasing even to me from India. Not typical American accent..seems like correct weightage to appropriate words ..but really love his videos!❤

Have a 14inch M1 Max 64 RAM 2TB…. And it’s been overheating. I googled this and this is happening to a lot of users are having same problem. Anyone here experiencing this and found a solution?

I'm still rocking a late 2012 macbook pro, I think its time to make the jump to an M1

I’m hoping someone can help me out… I am debating between an m2 pro 14 inch with 16gb RAM and an M1 Max 16in with 32gb RAM. I just cannot make up my mind and the RAM is my main concern with the 14in, but I really prefer how compact and portable that one is versus the 16in. What would you guys choose?

purchased my macbook pro 13" M1 last year. No regrets, best laptop i have every owned. I live in South Africa and we are currently without power for 4 hours daily and my laptop is a lifesaver for the dark days.

So did you know about the USB C issue with the M1s?

I feel and see that he really downplays anything bad ( except the undefendable clear-to-everyone stuff) and over-glorifies the good stuff, and that's normal, we all have our biases and like specific brands but as a tec reviewer he should be more objective about things

Apple should have given us one free upgrade of our choice to make up for forcing that butterfly keyboard on us. Even if we kept our mid 2011 Mac to skip those horrible 8 years of failure designs

Slow ports is an Apple tradition, hell iPhones still use lightning at USB 2.0 speeds, a what 20+ year old standard; way to stay “Pro” Apple.
For Apple “Pro” is just a marketing/selling point and not a functional use, like they have had in the past.

I think the Touch Bar would be a great comeback now things like matter, is getting better, shortcuts are advancing, and HomeKit has a selection. For example would if you could make a short cut that if you open a web tab that’s linked to your focus will also open your specific focus or vice versa, controlling home access, start and end short cuts and which between focuses would be Dope!!!
