Why in Gods name does Wagner has so little views?! I love the more intimate romantic versions from Furtwangler {with the melting voice of Martha Modl} and von Karajan {with the angelic Janowitz}. I love them more than this Thielemann, but this is also so great, so majestic, so beautiful! Thank you so much! Thanks Thielemann and musicians and above all thank you Wagner!!!!

Too bad Thielemann has no distinguished Wagnerian singers to work with, since they no longer exist.

I cannot imagine what it must be like to stand on stage and sing this glorious music with a full Wagnerian orchestra behind me.  Opera singers are the luckiest people on the face of the earth.

You can't simply love Wagner enough. One of my fondest memories as a teen is listening to the Met broadcasts. I even recorded Die Walküre on four or five casettes, comments included. I would listen to them constantly...

Awesome orchestral work... The production was universally panned as completely regrettable shit. Too bad Bayreuth has been taken over by the the imbecilic remains of the Wagner family.

I've known and listened to Wagner since 1 year now, but I've only listened to Tristan, Lohengrin and Tannhäuser so far. Tristan blew me away right from the first note till the end. Can't wait to get to know the whole Ring cycle. For me, Wagner has been life-changing in some way. It makes me feel like a more transcendental being.
