When I was in high school, (live in rural Alabama, very small school) after football season ended one year, I had gotten really into rugby, watched all the Rugby World Cup that year, bought a regulation ball, everything. I decided I would get my buddies that didn’t play basketball to learn to play rugby. I knew enough of the game that it was semi legit games, we did all the formations and stuff; scrums, line-outs, mauls, drop goals, free kicks, everything. We probably butchered the game when it came to fundamentals, but we had an absolute blast. We even got enough guys to play 7v7 a couple times, but mostly it was 5v5 or 4v4, but some of the most fun we ever had. We still talk about it now 10 years later.

The USA have a rapidly growing interest in Ruby and are getting more and more competitive at the game every year even finishing respectfully in the last world cup. The USA 7 a side team would rank in the top 5 and finding more star's every year.
