this game is very popular in philippines since its first release on 2009.. i was playing crossfire rival faction before they released a philippine version.. and when they released it.. it became so big and quickly replaced Special Force as the most played FPS game in philippines.... i was playing crossfire since 2009 when i was just 11years old and i just stopped playing it on 2021 to focus on my work.. but until now its still one of the most played online games in philippines...

This game is like the runescape of shooters. You never really quit, you just take long breaks.

I played this game religiously since I was 8 (2008) back in Vietnam. Then I moved to NA and I never got to play the game like I used to play anymore.

Glad to say I grew up on this game. i can still remember tracing the cf logo with my mouse while the game loaded. Why did crossfire x have to be on Xbox and be shit. And mutation mode was goated.

Game was originally from Korea, then acquired by Tencent, which now became the biggest FPS in South-east Asia, Vietnam, and Brazil. Imagine only needing base computer hardware and you can essentially started blasting heads in game. Like seriously... I was able to run the game on a Netbook... of course on the lowest settings... but 512 mb ram only?

Oh and extra notes, if I am not mistaken, Crossfire was originally a quake mod.

Played it on Xbox. It was a mess at launch. Fortunately it got better, imo. Unfortunately, interest was lost after the disappointing launch. I played it regularly up until the end and always had fun. Half bots, half human players. Fun either way.

I remember playing this when I was 13. Ghost mode in Laboratory was my favorite go to. I stopped playing when I hit Colonel 8th grade. Back then, I used my lunch money to pay friends to get me in game creds to get crates.

I used to play it sooooo fucking much specially its Ghost mode.

I was so fucking good at playing the Ghost and an ass in playing the soldiers(GR).

Zombie mode was fun and challenging you have lots and lots of game modes that are for fun but ofc when it comes to comp it is Search and destroy eagle map 10000%

Problem with the game back then was hacking it was everywhere and easy to access to the point of the game became unplayable for a while, I remember my friends who kept on playing it saying they updated the security and it is almost next to non now but the damage was done, it made me quit and made a lot of people quit.

and another issue was P2W weapons while you can't use them in competitive you can use them in anything else which lead to the fact that the more you pay the more fun you get the less fun the other people get.
EX : M4A1 There was 2 versions of it that were pay 2 win both of them have higher fire rate better recoil better accuracy and everything else and not only that it looks cool from the rest of the game.

It made the issue for even the fun Game modes like I said Zombies for example was turned to who can get these weapons they then tried to change it were everyone can do them but with less rewards which led to the declining of the game mode and wanting to revamp it which they did but it was in the times of hacking everywhere so people quitted.

Zombie modes in this game is so good, especially when players starts chasing you and u just starter doing parkours to avoid em

I was on Crossfire 10 years ago while Korean FPS games were rising. I played both Thai and Japanese versions thru a VPN.

I've played in this one in 2012 and it was a reason why i failed some of my exams in university. I still remember these cool zombie modes, mechanics, maps and how satisfied it was to kill enemies and find a right position on a map. I think only bf3 cranes death match can compare to it in a way of emotions in close combats

I remember the time when you play beta, you will get the exclusive weapons that are now rental weapons permanently and by the time its official release, most internet cafes are flooded with players playing CF. As time went by, the rise of cheaters are plaguing the game, still we have to fight against them even if pretty pointless.

Combat Arms and Crossfire was one my first fps games in the 2000s i played 2k 3k hrs paid like up to 5k bucks in both games even after many yrs i still pay for premium or ingame items even if the game is dying it was part of my childhood

As an "old" crossfire player (2015-2018) I grew up with it with counter strike source in Philippines since internet shops tended to have source instead of global since most shops didn't have big budgets and had low quality pcs. It was one of the funnest games I have ever played since most players were around 5-10 years old in Ph servers you would face people who are around your skill level (Note: I am only 15 years old and this is based on my POV and Experience)

cf was a whole new world for me as a kid because i never played 3d games and the maps in crossfire is well built and considered cool at that time. i cannot find that feeling in csgo anymore. 来自中国上海的玩家

I'd usually compare crossfire with counter-strike : nexon zombie. It has literally the same things, gun skins and game modes(well not all but ideally the same), and it gives off the same hype that crossfire does to you, except that it is korean not chinese. It's just sad that CSNZ (counter-strike : nexon zombie) is dead. I used to play it every single day after grade school, and now seeing it dead with less than 50 people everyday breaks my heart.

Fact: CF mechanics are harder than Valorant ang CSGO
