The downtown had a very old world feel and the antique stores were fabulous. Not to mention the little family owned diner. Haven't been through there in years now. ❤

Where are your moms I would like to see us old babes do something

Cut flower tip:
Remove all foliage/leaves from any stems that sit beneath the waterline. This will help avoid the fowl order and slime that form as the foliage rots beneath the water line.
Your flowers will also stay fresh longer.
It also helps to trim the ends of the flowers and change water often.

There are so many great lessons about hospitality in this video, all of which I need to hear! But the biggest might be the practice of being present. And for me, like you, that means saying “yes” to help—which is hard for me. I don’t know why I think I have to do it all- I really think people are more comfortable if they are treated like family, not “guests”. Can’t internalize that, apparently!
