The whole point of these mandates is to destroy the car industry. If car manufacturers are forced out of business then the peasants won't be able to buy cars and without transport then they can more easily be controlled in their 15 minute ghettoes.

MG can't even give these things away. They've got brand new ZS EV models on sale for £19995 at my local dealer but every 74 reg MG (cars registered since Sept 24 have a 74 on the plate) I've seen has been a pure petrol or hybrid.

The problem is that when people are bad at their job and / or can't do their job, they should be sacked. This must be applied to politicians. It is f-ing insane that they are being "PERMITTED" to do all this f-ing damage. People must wake the F up and FORCE change. Any of them who refuse to listen can disappear or DISAPPEAR. This is their own fault. These manufactures should have stood together and simply told the government to get f'ed. They should refuse to pay any of these idiotic fines.

EV`s is terrible here in Norway with 9 months of cold and long distances (The batteries have to be heated to warmer then 0c to take a charge). Also Norway tried to ban all sales of new cars that was not EV`s from 2025 but had to change the date when they realized that was simply impossible for long long list of reasons.

Anyone know what is happening to the motorbike world as dealerships are crashing like a kamikaze festival reunion in the UK? I've head EV bikes are dreadful, is this something to do with this?

Manufactures are doomed anyway, it doesn't matter if they juggle and lie about their figures, they can't lie when they are closing their car plants and making their staff redundant. They cant lie when their profits are falling month after month.

The real reason Mobility have pulled back is that EV's crash in value after the 3 year lease period when they are returned. When I was selecting a mobility vehicle a Vauxhall dealer offered a top of the range Mokka for nil advanced payment as Mobility wanted the max resale value when the lease period ended.

Fleet sales, motability, and insane purchase delays have the whole nation reluctant to buy a new car. Everyone is holding onto their current car as long as possible and second hand cars are rising in price.

I used to have a car on Motability for the 3 year term. It was a rip off imho. I won't go that route again, and I certainly won't be touching an EV. It's I.C.E for me.

EVs aren’t the future we are looking for. They are the end of personal freedom, when the limitations of the grid to provide the huge amounts of electricity become apparent, and ‘rare’ battery fires limit car parking and increase insurance premiums.
