💥💥Us metal & rock- peole wouldn't dream of NOT being able to play with a pick. THE BEST: SHARKFIN!!!💥💥
ОтветитьWould love to see some Mark Sandman
ОтветитьAll the stuff I learnt when I first picked up a bass in the 90's :D interesting on a fretless 😆man I love that Stone Roses tune.
ОтветитьAnything by Alice in Chains
ОтветитьNo one can hear the difference between up and downstrokes in a mix live and if they can, are they going to call you out?
What a nonsense bit of specificity on the Offspring song
Getting technical on a 4 chord punk song LMAO
i would add The Breeders - cannonball . i remember it blew my mind when i was in high school. i love this channel btw. tnx for all you do.
ОтветитьI'm in my first year and have been learning a lot of rammstein, acdc, and Metallica. As well as a few from pink Floyd, gorrilaz, and other stuff that came out around the time I should have done this back in '98. It's never too late, though. I'm having fun with it. When I don't suck.
ОтветитьWhat bass is Scott rocking it’s gorgeous
ОтветитьWhy the hell are you wearing that glove? Are you playing so fast that the strings are hot? Some kind of show off..
ОтветитьOkay, I'm a J Bass guy but that P Bass is hitting HARD !
ОтветитьBout time we had some Stone Roses on, Mani is the end of a leg
ОтветитьCool Nirvana bassline, though Lounge act is the best on that record for me
ОтветитьBass used to be cool
ОтветитьI just find it hard to believe that Scott knows Longview but not Self Esteem 😅
ОтветитьTalking about easiest bass lines the band that instantly comes to my mind are The Ramones, they're not from the 90's though. Just strum the root notes with a down stroke and you can nail almost all of their songs.
ОтветитьYou get a like just for including the stone roses
ОтветитьIf you would forgive a stupid question: What's the benefit of using your fourth instead of your third finger when covering only three frets like both these guys seem to be doing? The way I was taught, the fourth finger goes on the fourth fret (relative to your first finger), or on the octave two strings down.
ОтветитьI refuse to use picks.
ОтветитьLongview is such an incredible bass line
ОтветитьScott and Ian just work so well together!
ОтветитьNo Alice in chains? Very disappointing. They need a video dedicated to Starr's and Inez's bass work
ОтветитьJust as I thought "why is the bass line of Longview never on these lists?" - BOOM - they play Longview! One of the all time coolest bass lines!
ОтветитьIan your such a master of tone with the HX Stomp. Ive just purchased one because of your videos. I was never a fan of multi fx units but they have vastly improved over the years so looking forward to giving it a go. Can I ask where you got the extra two button add on from ?
ОтветитьSooo fun ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьScott is fire on da Bass baby! Keep up the great work mate. I bought your fret progression program. Dude gotta a question. Just bought a new guitar but changing the strings the E string keeps popping before I can tune it to E. Around D#. Anyone ?I bought long scale strings still pop.
ОтветитьHaving grown up in the '70s & '80s, I can report that NONE of ANY of this is actually 'Rock'. There is no Rock here.
ОтветитьAll the things i played when learning, with a focus on RATM & RHCP... 😎🤟
ОтветитьYou guy's have to do a part 2 , tool sober, offspring bad habit and got get away, space Hogs in the mean time, Alice chain wood, Pantera walk, I'm broken , Megadeth symphony of Destruction, anthrax cover Got the time , RANCID Ruby Soho, Local H Bound for the floor, Metallica the god that fail and my friend of misery, RHCP SUCK MY KISS and many more lol this was awesome 🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьКлассный канал. Спасибо
ОтветитьThe bassline for 'In the Meantime' by Spacehog 100% deserves to be on this list!
ОтветитьCan you guys do a video about Mike Dirnt and talk about more than just Longview?
ОтветитьNot my decade (I’m old) but great stuff!
ОтветитьGreat video.. ty.. awesome to learn these cool riffs in less than 30 minutes.. hoping for many more videos to bookmark.
ОтветитьWhat do you guys think about spending some time on punk rock? Like NOFX, Rancid, AFI?
ОтветитьI love that orange and white-stripped bass! :D
ОтветитьWhat about Rancid's bass line for "Journey to the End of the East Bay"? Doesn't Rancid deserve an episode?
ОтветитьThese are the songs that made me want to play music! Also, I never realised that I need a bass with racing stripes until now.
Ответить90s were weak
ОтветитьScott plays Groove is in the Heart naturally with 1 and 3 and then takes care to teach it using only 1 and 4. I'm curious as to why? Is it because Ian plays it this way, (using only 1 and 4), or because there is some benefit? Love watching you guys play - thank you kindly for the generous instruction and your contagious enthusiasm 🤘
ОтветитьDeffo gunna give a couple of these a bash guys!
ОтветитьThe Cars, Drive. 1st bass line I actually learned and played in 1989.
I had to search for the bonus song, she bangs the drum, I've never heard it before. Wow that bass punches through!!! (on my 20 year old Sony MDR Pro headphones anyway haha)
Not a big fan of our new flag. But it dose make a better hat.
ОтветитьThe F# on the chorus on Whats My Age Again is played an octave up!
ОтветитьHey Ian, you get much better tone out of that bass than Scott does. Just sayin'...
ОтветитьI propose to you a song of an italian band of the 90s: - C.S.I. “Forma e sostanza”… all played with the pick. Believe me! She deserves to be heard.
ОтветитьAs someone who is in their first year, just wanted to say thanks. 🙏
You guys rock and I love your videos!
