Grew up in Jersey, this is like watching my child hood.
ОтветитьThis episode is a great example for why Pete & Pete was one of the best children's TV shows ever created. How many other kids' shows would have the courage to end an episode like this? I had a tear in my eye.
Pete & Pete was funny, smart, super weird, relatable, but also deep and philosophical. Unlike so many other shows, it gave us kids credit, it knew we were young but not stupid. I think even if you're too young to understand all the meanings, you still notice and appreciate that you're taken seriously and don't have things dumbed down for you. I loved it when I was 10, but I appreciate it even more now that I'm 35.
Forgot how good this show was
ОтветитьThe beauty of this show is that it could capture what adolescence felt like at times: strange, bizarre, hilarious, heartfelt, and just downright weird. It didn’t insult children’s intelligence and try to make adults look stupid. The shows of Nick and The Disney Channel today will never be able to come close to genius that was this show.
ОтветитьAll of that in less than 30 minutes, wow and this was a kid show!
ОтветитьHoly shit, Bebe Neuwirth!
ОтветитьEllen's skort at the beginning.....I had a few of those myself!! 💕💕😂😂
ОтветитьArtie will always be my superhero
Ответить“True love, if it’s really true doesn’t need an answer.” Holy shit that’s deep
ОтветитьSo Don is just gonna let this dude do this like that
ОтветитьCrazy to think this episode is now 27 years old
ОтветитьThis episode is better after you've watched it a second time. It's very well written.
ОтветитьIf the phone has been ringing for so long, why are the people just suddenly complaining about it?
ОтветитьRobot Chicken brought me Here.
ОтветитьMakes sense
ОтветитьWow that ending was deep 🥺
ОтветитьBest Kids Show Ever.
ОтветитьArtie's superpower was crack related. I'm sure of it.
ОтветитьIt's disappointing that today's children don't know that this show exists and the current Nickelodeon shows that they do like and watch are trash.
ОтветитьThe telephone lineman sounds like Mike Judge.
ОтветитьThat was just the most amazing plot to an episode, and yet the show is just like this.
There's something slightly surreal and very cool about discovering this show only now but doing so among people who are nostalgic about it. And here we are all getting to talk about it in a way you didn't get to then
Those extended warranty people don't give up lol!
ОтветитьMy favorite episode!
ОтветитьThis show was great ! Happy I'm rewatching this 20years later !
ОтветитьSo much nostalgia it almost gives the millennial in me anxiety 😥
ОтветитьThis show was one of the greats
ОтветитьThat is so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI MISS THESE KINDS OF SHOWS!
ОтветитьHub was a terrorist.
ОтветитьI remember this episode!!❤
ОтветитьKinda sad little Pete’s best friend who was a black kid disappeared after season 1. Loved that bit of diversity during a time where it was sort of rare
ОтветитьThis episode is 29 years old now so that phone has been ringing for 56 years lol
ОтветитьLilith!!
ОтветитьMY FAVORITE EPISODE 😊
ОтветитьThese shows were ones my 4 kids used 2 watch. So, as a parent, I had the default of watching them as well. They have all been very memorable. The music by Polaris, I find 2B great 2.
I bought the 1'st & 2'nd Seasons on DVD. The 3'rd season is not avail- able on DVD, but I was finally able to watch the 3'rd season after 20 years, online. I love this show. One of the best that Nickelodeon has ever had.
Kenan&Kel soon followed, which was OK too. But not nearly as good.
Currently watching this episode on May 15, 2024.. Deep cut if you watched this episode
Ответить"The curse was living in fear, and that was something he couldn't live with anymore."
I didn't get it as a kid. Now that I'm watching this again as an adult, that line is so relatable.
Also, Pete turning to the gathering crowd and saying "I'll get it" has no business being as badass as it was! This show was so damn good!
Long ago, in a land called the 80s and 90s, there were pay telephones.
ОтветитьHey, smilin' strange!!!!
ОтветитьDoes anyone know what episode in this show where they dig a tunnel system in their front yard? Been looking 😅
ОтветитьWow... This episode might just have the best ending of the entire series
