Admirable lady.
ОтветитьThank you for creating this video! First off congrats on passing! Secondly I start my cybersecurity degree at WGU in 6 days so this made me feel really good. Thank you!
ОтветитьDon’t forget your public library for test prep!
ОтветитьCongratulations ❤
ОтветитьA+ ?? people really like to waste their time...
ОтветитьSo how much did you Chat GPT it?
ОтветитьI am studying for the A+ core one right now. I guess I am not as worried about know knowing something but Comptia tricking me with their trick questions. I just feel like trick questions are not necessary its like do you want me to know the stuff or play games with tricks. I have done a few practice exams online with the 25 questions for each topic and some of the questions, I counted, had like 10 possible answers and you have to pick how ever many apply. So much for the 4 to 5 multiple question answer days lol.
ОтветитьCongrats. I'm currently in IT applications course at WGU. I began with using compTIA's course but I felt like I wasn't retaining any of the info. I then switched to Jason Dion and actually understood the course a lot more. I have about 100 more slides left to finish, then its on to studying for the course 2 exam.
ОтветитьI passed part 1 barely 683. lol I go to WGU also I haven't tooken the 2nd part yet but im sure its going to be even tougher. the certmaster and WGU material is the best for Comptia then you could brush off some vids with professor messer but WGU material really is enough tbh. I can't wait until i get to that net + Security + and Pent test
ОтветитьGreat video, this is a elegant video you hit all the main points.
ОтветитьI'm starting my A+ soon. Congratulations Jessica
ОтветитьCongratulations!! And thanks so much for the info. It's super helpful that you shared your experience and gave us a little more insight into what to study and what to expect. 🥰 Big props, luv. Best of luck on all your future endeavors!!
ОтветитьI'm just going straight for the Security+ 🤞
And congrats on your A+
One thing I would also recommend is to practice on real hardware. You don't need any fancy computer to learn. If you have an old computer laying around, use it to learn. If not, see if you have any friends or family that have an old PC they don't want anymore. It doesn't need to be new or even functional. Bonus points if you can figure out what's wrong with it and how to fix it.
That's a really good way to solidify what you learned watching videos and putting into practice. That's how I got started with computers as a kid in the early 2000's. Most of the time, I had no idea what I was doing, but I thought was fascinating clicking different buttons and menus and opening stuff and seeing how it worked and then trying to put it back together in working order. Take apart the computer completely and look at all the hardware and put it back together again. You may not be building computers in a job on a regular basis, but it is good to know what the components of a computer are and what they look like. Take pictures or videos if you need to remember where things go.
Messer the goat
Ответитьdoes wgu accredited all over the world?
ОтветитьGood info. Training for my A+ atm. Good luck on your next Cert
ОтветитьCongrats!
Ответитьcongrats:) im restudying core 1 because i kinda faill
twice, im thinkin bout gettin certmaster learn
Great
Ответитьcongratulations
ОтветитьAwesome job!
ОтветитьThanks! Jason Dion is the best!
ОтветитьSo I’m crazy and decided I wanted to do this like, yesterday. And I’m so glad I found this video! I found Professor Messer to be way too dense, so I’ve basically been finding different free practice tests and thinking of them as different rabbit holes to go and Google, so then I’ll actually know more when I try the videos again. This stuff is really hard 😅
ОтветитьThis is so informative! Thank you and good luck with Security +
ОтветитьCongratulations. I love like you talk. Thanks about resources.
ОтветитьThanks for the video, super useful insights. But I have a question: did you study full time or you were able to study in ur free time while on a normal 8h Monday to Friday job?
Ответитьgreat video and very helpful im kind of spooked myself because i have to take my exam in a couple of days ive been studying like crazy
ОтветитьI agree with everything you said. Free is good but messers lecture is not in methodical order. And it’s a bit lecture-y. Mike Meyers, although I do speed the video up, he keeps you engaged. He even made submitting make sense for me. Dion, not fan of his lecture. Makes me sleepy but those PBQs are necessary. You mentioned CertMaster, I almost missed it coz I just call it totalsim. But super helpful.
ОтветитьI’m taking core 2 right now. I’ve just started and feel so overwhelmed and discouraged. I have no IT background and it’s so much info.
ОтветитьYour beauty is a distraction
ОтветитьOkay congrats,
do we have a job in IT yet?
I just graduated in June and got my first cybersecurity role. It's been one month since I've been working and I referred the same resources that you did to get here. I didn't do the certification though. But as a second-year student, you're walking on the right path. Also, I suggest the free certification course by ISC called Certified in Cybersecurity. It's an internationally well-known certification and it's currently free for a limited time. It helped me get my current job. However, getting where I am today wasn't easy after all. I still struggle with a lot of things and there are always people who are more experienced out there. I would love to help you or anyone who is a beginner in this field. It would be a pleasure to make someone's work easier, cause this field can get really confusing and you may feel lost.
ОтветитьYou don’t need botox.
ОтветитьAmazing content. Never new smart girls could be as pretty as you 👌
ОтветитьThank you for this!
ОтветитьPlease respond.... I need some help please
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI'm studying for the A+ right now and this was super helpful, thank you! 😊
ОтветитьHappy for you❤
ОтветитьThank you, Jamili and Time for this video and congratulations to you for achieving this very difficult task. Right now I’m studying for A+ certification and I can tell you wanna say that I am scared beyond anything that I have experienced so far. I am reading all the material and trying to absorb as much as I can, and I just pray and hope that I can pass it the first time.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Currently studying for the comptia core 1 and started getting a little discouraged as I am having a hard time learning the material. This just gave me so much hope!! Going to use all the resources! And good luck on your security+!!! You definitely got this
Ответитьquestion: are you skipping network+ ?
ОтветитьI agree core 2 seemed a bit easier for me too- core 1 was a bit tough
ОтветитьHi Jessica, I tried connecting with you on Linkedin but your link is not working🤔
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьCongratulations! ChatGPT is also a nice resource to get ELI5 explanations on concepts you don't understand fully. Also it can make questions for you to practice if you give it the right prompts if you on a tight budget.
ОтветитьHi Jessica, thanks for this video and congratulations. I will attend WGU next year after I get my AA in IT, but my plan is to pre-study the courses I need to take, so your tips were very helpful. Thanks!
ОтветитьVery informative! I'm laughing because this whole time I've been making a fancy acronym spreadsheet when I now realize that I can just print out some pages! Thanks for the great tips!
ОтветитьCongratulations. I passed my Core 1 a few days ago and immediately started studying for Core 2. One thing I would say is that doing a bunch of practice tests and brain dumps are only going to help you so much. Most of what I've seen on various sites and channels did not reflect what was actually on the exam. The multiple choice questions were more difficult because there were hardly any answers that were obviously incorrect. More like choosing the best, fastest, easiest and least disruptive options. Make sure you can understand and explain the concepts you read about instead of regurgitating answers. I also used Mike Meyers Udemy course as my primary learning method and i can concur that it's very thorough.
