Hey Otz! Been watching your videos non-stop for the last couple of weeks, thanks to my recent DBD addiction, but I just wondered... How are you planning to update videos like this one, or better, the 16hours one about perks? Are you going to reupload them, then unlist the old one? Cause no way you'd do another 16h when 90% of the perks didn't change. That sounds like the most effective method, but then maybe it's bad for YT algorythm, since you're removing a popular video? For algorythm I guess it'd be better if you uploaded a separate one, then edited 90% of the last video in with 10% new content, I guess, then keep the old one still? But that would be very confusing for the new viewers🤔
I'd really love to hear your thoughts about this, even though you'll probably never notice this comment 🙈

this is exactly why the wraith needs a perk rework. it’s such a fun power to use but the perks are so terrible, making it pretty annoying when just starting out with him

I'm really crazy torn between lithe or balanced landing as the 3rd best EX perk...i REALLY want to say balanced landing, but most of the community i can agree with lithe over sprint burst...
so to me the new player, sprint burst is the easiest to use, JUST RUN, but i waste this often buy running behind cover of a low wall and crouching for a huntress hatchet, or maybe just vision...so i find lithe to be better because i can run all i want and only have to hit a vault (rarely is rare just map knowledge)
but i honestly see the king EX perk as balanced landing, this perk when it can be used, has guaranteed more if not better escapes than sprint burst has ever helped me evade...see if you hit a 2nd story window with lithe that whole perk is wasted by the time you hit the ground, you get ONE step at max speed, or a plain drop just doesnt do anything and the killer wins those...where as balanced landing THAT RECOVER SPEED when landing is so clutch, ontop of ONCE you CAN SPRINT you get the same bonus as lithe or sprint burst.... omfggg if i could just keep that constant like from a new survivor the gymnast so its not an EX perk....ooh bby just gimme the stick the landing perk so i can just have 80% recovery or something aswell as maybe faster vaults? or just safer ones where her body is thrown forward rather than getting your leg always hit.
and i do hate when i don't have a hook hill or some drop down to use, so certain maps this perk really really sucks.

used to run deliverance for anti-facecamping but then I realised... if im being face camped then im either the first person hooked or the other people also got face camped and I couldnt safely rescue them lmao

Idk why I should feel proud to say this but I do, I don't run a single 5 star perk... my default survivor build is windows, overcome, botany and blast mine. It's a decent build, I usually get value from all 4 perks, but never get called out for being a boring meta gamer using overpowered perks. Sometimes I get called out for windows but those are just the braindead people who don't realise that all it does is show me the loops, if I run circles around them its because I'm just better at loops than them lmao. It's peaceful not being called toxic every game xD

Used to run shit like DS back when it was stupidly overpowered because you were shooting urself in the foot if u didnt run it, but nowadays you really can get away with not running the best perks in the game and still win with relative consistency. I would say that DBD is in the best state its ever been in, and it is perk wise, but sadly the immense number of killers means there's a lot more killers with boring playstyles. Back in the days of old DS the killers were all fun to play against (for the most part) but now shit like skull merchant and knight aren't overpowered, but their counterplay is just so dull.

ok but you shouldn't run perks that don't benefit you directly , borrow time for example FOR ME does nothing and if my teammate gets downed 5 seconds after his unhook endurance ends, it's just a waste of a perk slot. EDIT : Unless you play with friends or in high mmr

The reason I don't like Corrupt is after it's over its over. It has a two minute life span.

How would you rank Pain Resonance after its change?

The fact that you basically said to get value out of pain Res you need to tunnel and camp and camp the same area not only is pathetic, but also is the reason why it’s getting nerfed

i miss old corrupt, me being a huntress main, i NEED to get really early downs for the lake of map control so running new corrupt is annoying now because i end up losing 70-80% of the perk, im just running 0 gen perks cause of it, from lack of options

1 look at this and it's blatantly obvious that the game is Survivor-sided.

Unbreakable should be a seperate bar. It also should be about 40 seconds. Not every killer is nurse, they can’t end chases in 30 seconds anyway. If the next target it fully healed, it would take even more.

I usually consider myself a terrible looper, but after trying Windows, wow did it make a huge difference. Having that information was crucial in extending most of my chases.

I know this was made a few months ago but now I believe that call of brine is just as good if not better than pain res mostly because of rng.

we'll make it gets four stars but not tenacity? you gotta mess around with tenacity for a day Otz, if a survivor can distract the killer for just like 6-8 seconds you can get a decent bit away then +5-10 seconds to crawl away from the killer searching the immediate down area confused. (of course, this requires iron will to get true value out of but still mint I get multiple second chances from this perk at least every other game

My only thing is with some of the perks you got in excellent is that they are great but situational . For instance adrenaline is a great perk but there gonna be a lot of times you can’t even get the gate open especially if you solo q a lot . Deliverance is another situational perk . What if you get hooked first? Or your teammate unhooks you? Or the killer camps the hook? I think perks that are great no matter the situation are the best perks . Kindred is a excellent perk & very underrated . We all appreciate when someone is using that perk on our team . Works in any situation and gives your whole team a lot of information.

I can't see the guardian survivor perk anywhere

As a survivor i need to say that corrupt intervention has a another possible effect: It can prevent the last gen done. When u spread out you possibly not going to do that closed gens. When 4 gens are done, The last 3 gens (possibly) are going to be in the same area.

I know it’s been three months but I HARD disagree with the placement of Low Profile. It’s really good, especially on indoor maps.

Running corrupt on Doc is very good, you can bully everyone to get madness up then go for downs

Honestly, I absolutely love longer videos from Otz. While I absolutely love the weekly compilation and everything else, I'm always extra excited if the video is over an hour.

I already watched this video for all the survivor perks. Now that I am (slightly) decent at survivor I am rewatching it to learn the killer perks so I can hopefully recognize more of them in game. Lots of love to you Otz for the time and dedication you put in these videos <3

I only recently started watching your stuff again, so I missed a lot of stuff ever since Nemesis came out. What do you mean by “I’m Otz at least until the contract expires”? Is that a joke or what?

Where is guardian?

Honestly I think surveillance needs to be at in the very good tier as it mitigates time wasted on patrols and it technically can't be countered and you will know when your Gen stops regressing.

Lightborn is great rn in my opinion. All these flashlights and flashbangs.
