The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Was the End of the Evo

Mitsubishi knows exactly what evo enthusiasts wanted, they made the interior cheap bcus they knew ppl where going to gut them out anyway and put a roll cage 😂... also they put the battery and washer tank in the back bcus they know ppl want more room for mods 😂, that saves us all a hassle from relocating thing ourselves... also the AYC resevoir was in the back too, u missed it in the trunk to the right side...

Less body flex, a bit roomier, but slightly heavier than the two previous models. I’m not sure why the 4g63t wasn’t kept in them, but still a good engine. Because I’m 6’3, I prefer the X

I Have en Evo X MR-T, He didn't do his research very well!
1) That steering wheel is exclusive for the EVO X. 2) He obviously didn't review a car like mine that has an "Infotainment System" from Factory (GPS, DVD, TOUCH SCREEN NAVIGATION, Voice Control etc) You can set up your phone and say commands like "Call John Doe" and it will call that person, etc. But he complains. 3) My Evo X MR-T 2014 (same year) does have "Evolution X" badges on the door cells from Factory. 4) There is a REASON why the EVO X MR stands for "Mitsubishi Racing" , it comes with a similar Twin Clutch Transmission found int the GTR /Corvette C8 and it's a 6 Speed trans. 5) with the 5 speed Manual , "As Jeremy Clarkson" said you have to be on the right Gear on the right RPMs and at the right time to get a good 0-60/performance. Not to mention that when you shift with a Manual you loose boost. Therefore the MR with SST can shift faster than any human, you don't loose boost and maximize/optimum 0-60 /overall performance and has Launch Control, everything communicates for better performance. 6) In the MR which he didn't want to review but complains about the GSR, you get better/upgraded Suspension, Automatic whippers when it rains, Automatic lights in the dark and the rear view mirror dims automatically as well. In other words with the MR you get better performance and it is more civilized.

One reason not to bother with the cheap interior is that most are just going to rip it off to save weight and mod it, put roll bars etc2.

I had a 2006 EVO. That RF sound system was amazing. At the time, car companies didnt care for quality sound. EVO was smart, performance and music.

The only crappy thing about this car is the ⚙️ box is a manual! Fuck that!

I got my permit hours in my dads Evo x. His has the dual clutch with the paddles and that thing shifts so damn quick. Really fun car to drive

that's all because that's not a lancer. the lancer 10 isn't a lancer, shouldn't be thought of as one. Don't care how nice it drives. Thing is butt ugly. Big. Bulbus. Not at all linear like it's predecessors. The 5-9 were the best years with 8 being the best IMO.

I think the main reason the Evo x has a 5 speed is because Mitsubishi's 6 speed wasn't as strong. Alot of people actually swap the 6 speed in the MR to the 5 speed from the base Evo.

I love the Recaro seats. They make it really look high performance

Every EVO on the planet has been modified except your EVO Doug? Check again, I just brought a 2015 EVO Final Edition with 5k miles. It's unmodified, and I plan on keeping it that way for a while other than adding the typical add ons that aren't mods. 🤩

I'll always love this car! I never owned one, but I grew up on Fast & The Furious, so of course I'd love such an aggressive-looking import from that era. In fact, my current car resembles it somewhat closely (2015-20 Subaru WRX), but that's something I keep to myself.
