The English, not British, sorry there are some errors in the script.. new video will be about battle of Hastings
ОтветитьFirst I’d say thanks this is a great presentation, just as a bit of constructive criticism and as mentioned earlier the Crecy ridge or sometimes referred to as the Crecy Bank was ignored in almost all the source material at the time of the battle but was critical to Edward the III’s choice of defensive position as Edward’s enemies were “funneled” to an expected route where the English archers could reek havoc, chaos and death upon the enemy. Again great video and thank you!
ОтветитьThe recreation is just so silly. The effort is admirable yes but there are so many minor details lacking. Like for example the one reason Edward III decided to pick this location was the hills. They were so steppe in the flanks that the French knights were forced to do frontal charge. That’s why Edward managed to reduce the amount of infantry needed to hold the line, and converted the rest of his army into archers in order to maximize firing power. Another element worth noting is the reason behind Genoese eagerness was most likely come from the fact that they were mercenaries hired by the French king, so in order to earn coin they had to prove their value in battle. If not then by the wave of a hand the king could end their contract right away. This situation became more dire after their defeat to the English fleet at Sluys some years earlier, so this battle was the chance for them to show their employer the men of Genoa were still somewhat of a formidable and skillful lots, both to prolong current employment as well as keeping up their reputation for later employment opportunities. Yet something they would never had imagined were the English canons in the middle of the enemy army. That was the first recorded instant of canons being used in Western Europe, and on the battlefield instead of a siege which was unprecedented in warfare of the time. The sounds, the surprise, the devastation combined with the volleys of the tens of thousands of English archers must had had quite an effect on the lightly armored crossbowmen’s morale. That’s why they were forced to retreat.
ОтветитьAt least learn how to pronounce the names of the French Nobility and get your facts right, before attempting to give history lessons on YT.
Ответить>I've got a giant group of Knights with incredible mobility!
>Okay let's charge them up this damp hill into the stakes that are set up without occupying any of the archers!
Brilliant tacticians
Is this in English? Who is narrating this?
ОтветитьThe over acting voice is unbearable.
ОтветитьThe British lost no men at Crecy, Britain did not exist at that time. You mean the English.
ОтветитьOver dramatic and aspects of terrible pronunciation.
ОтветитьFunny, to give England its own identity, England only had to lose.
ОтветитьThe Genoese weren't foolish. They couldn't remove their bowstrings. A crossbow's bowstring could not be easily removed in the field without tools. The English longbows, however, didn't suffer this weakness.
ОтветитьHoly crap. This is exactly the type of video/channel I was hoping to find when looking for this battle. Can’t wait to watch more videos.
ОтветитьIt seems the French knights were the stupidest people in all of Europe
ОтветитьFrance isn't real 😃👍
ОтветитьIf you feel like I do, let's drop an emoji of us playing golf to express our feelings! 🏌♂😄
ОтветитьI cant believe It took me a year to see this video. Glad I did
ОтветитьENemy used cheat code they don't die.
ОтветитьTHis is so wrong in so many ways. What is this crap? Clickbait? Terrible. Read your damn history books.
ОтветитьMate why have u made this medieval total 1 could of got modded out 2 and made a movie
ОтветитьThey lost because they fought the English.
ОтветитьWorsed battlefield tactics ever by French
ОтветитьThe invaders were English, not British.
ОтветитьHey I like your content and presentation.
Solid work 👍
In case you haven't played any of the Total War PC games, you can set up great animations with them.
Or even Mount & Blade Bannerlord.
You’re doing great, 3D. Just stay in there and pitch.
Ответитьyeh run up a hill onto a stationary encamped army, to attack them with bows arrows spears swords, of course you will perish.
you need catapults you need long distance technology, you need tactics, surveillance, go round the back, planning,
Unwatchable.
ОтветитьWaiting for Castillion.
ОтветитьNeat. I'm such a fan of animated battles, and I wanted to do some in 3D during the gunpowder age. Thanks for the inspiration, I'll be following you to see how things go.
ОтветитьHubris killed the French and allied army.
ОтветитьWho read this Arni? Sound like he did lord of the ring next. Very dramatic! But a little out?
ОтветитьHe says, “All these factors did not allow heavily armed cavalry to strike with a monolithic mass,” while the graphic shows the cavalry striking with a monolithic mass.
Do you watch the computerized imagery before you put this up?
"He had to throw his standard on the ground and had to put his feet on it" what does this mean? He was standing on the flag?
ОтветитьWhich program are You using pal? Great job!
ОтветитьWatching this as I polish my Albion Crecy.
Ответить💢
ОтветитьDid the English use stakes at Crecy? I thought they only came into use after copying the Turks at Nicopolis.1396
ОтветитьA Real King❤
ОтветитьTerrible défaite pour nous.... heureusement Du Guesclin, Jeanne d'Arc, les frères Bureau et leur artillerie avec Charles V et VII nous permettront de gagner ❤🇫🇷👌🏼
ОтветитьGreat animated content. Thanks for this. Some feedback - I found your english commentary riddled with errors with your meanings very unclear. For example, "The method of building archers is still controversial. The modern describes their deployment as a contstruction of a harrow. Most likely he meant the placement of the shooters in a chess order to make them more comfortable to shoot."
These statements are very confusing with mutiple incorrect words used and the grammar structure poor. I think this statement should of read something like this -
"The deployment methods for deploying archers back then are still debated with the accepted method being controversial. They are described as being a construction of a harrow which most likely means the placement of the shooters in a chess order. This would of made them more comfortable to shoot."
I like the way you keep saying British towards the end of the video rather then English. This was about 400 years before Britain was united. So yeah this was English.
Ответитьgreat work!
ОтветитьNeeds to be updated reflecting the latest information.
ОтветитьtOTAL wAR MEDIEVAL GAME
ОтветитьIf only King Harold had brought 500 crossbowmen to the battlefield at Hastings in 1066...........history would have been so different!!
ОтветитьBad memory for our brave french knights
