Imagine the alternate history where they figured out how to make wider shields
Ответитьwow A.i voice really ????????
ОтветитьAs is becoming the norm, another brilliant upload from those at KingsandGenerals
ОтветитьThank you for the extensive work you do. Most dont consider just how much goes into a 2-3 hour video.
ОтветитьThis is so boring
ОтветитьNice cartoons.
These type of documentaries are ideal for PK-3 graders.
good stuff
ОтветитьThe druids ( it's heartbreaking having to call them that. But we only have the name our. Roman colonizers used) they would of been our
Priest class, our cultural keepers, our politicians and much more.
We have no idea who we are.
Our history and our culture have been systematically destroyed by foreign colonizer after foreign colonizer.
When do we get to demand justice.
I forgot, we are white and privileged. So never.
Man, horses and wagons were in use in the region long before Hallstatt age...
ОтветитьThis Welshman loves this!
ОтветитьThe most important group into Ireland were the Vikings....the Anglo Norman was the worst in fairness to the Romans and Saxon gypsy people they never bothered with Ireland
ОтветитьBecause they were so tall they were excellent at basketball.
Ответитьthis now makes sense to me that it was around this period of time that the Gaels invaded Ireland (from Spain) and took it over, they were fleeing the Romans.
ОтветитьWish the voice was more human so to speak. Can't listen. Wish I could. Oh well. Me Irish eyes are still smiling.
ОтветитьGallic struggle against empires doomed? Ireland: never forget.
ОтветитьDruids more than likely wore black robes.
ОтветитьThe fundamental religion of the Celtic world was the marriage of the River Goddess/the local Earth Goddess with the male God of all man-made Skill & Resource Lleu, Lugh, Sucellos). These two typology gods had many names, but the pattern and intention was the same. Other gods like the horned one ruled the wilderness. Maponus is the heir of the typology pagan marriage of the river and the consort gods.
ОтветитьKings and generals 💪👏👏👏❤️ none come close to the high-quality productions you upload ❤👏👏
ОтветитьYou guys are awesome!
Every video is a masterpiece ✨️
That the peoples running about fighting naked or shirtless, of all peoples in that world, should have been the ones in the northern reaches of Europe (didn't the Germans also do it sometimes?) always has me wondering why this isn't a cause for more marvel and get a lot more attention. You'd think this would be something for the Phoenicians or some other nice beach folks to have been doing! For a bunch of Mediterranean folks used to fighting in the southern sun weighed down by dozens of pounds of metal and leather to trudge up north and encounter these guys out getting a tan in the snow must really have been something. I guess it really would have been a psychological advantage--if they somehow managed to shake off the shivers that is.
ОтветитьSo interesting to see how consistent the building of hillforts was among variations of celtic cultures. I live in Northern Portugal and have lived in Galicia, Spain and the hillforts in both of those areas are the namesake of their culture name, the Castro culture.
Ответитьbump
ОтветитьHow do we know exactly what happened all these years ago when we can’t even get things straight now just curious if anyone has an answer ?
Ответитьyou wanted us to comment heres a comment

ОтветитьReally well-covering and well-thought-out synopsis of celtic peoples. One thing I noticed - Lugh. In Ireland the 'gh' after 'u' usually stretches out the pronunciation of the 'u', so here Lugh is pronounced 'loo', with sometimes a very soft 'ha' or 'chh' at the end, depending on the regional pronunciation.
ОтветитьCrazy how similar much celtic and african tribes r
ОтветитьNorth and South still divided to this very day, that's Britain and Ireland. Mainly divided through Government.
ОтветитьSurprised to hear the term "Spaniards" to refer to the Celtiberians.....
Ответитьlucias lucines lucallas 😂 what a twister
ОтветитьIt should read invasion since the Roman’s never conquered the picts
ОтветитьThe book of Galatians came from Paul to the Christians in this city
ОтветитьThe ticking time box oh yeah.
Ответитьthe 900 comment
ОтветитьThanks, I know this is going to be interesting.
ОтветитьFinal struggle ? Well Celtic people are still alive and struggling today, and represent some of the last visible european minority group, much like Sami people in Norway (except that celt dont get that kind of recognition).
Ответитьthis will be an important event in history as the history behind these people are scarce and limited. Thanks to this, we can retell it to our children in the future. GOOD JOB 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьIn the words of Dan Carlin: “Gauls were just Punk Rockers”
ОтветитьIt's crazy civilised these people really were When they are depicted As barbarians
ОтветитьI really enjoy these long stories of history. I've never liked history but these videos make it fun and educational, thanks
ОтветитьA two hour doc about history of celts it is awesome. Thank you k& G . We always appreciate your hard work and dedication towards these videos. Love from Sri Lanka ❤️🇱🇰🤝🏴.
ОтветитьExcellent program. It fills in some holes I had in my knowledge base.
ОтветитьRegarding the religious purposes for fighting naked, made me think of General Buttnaked from Africa (I forgot the nation). He said he had spiritual powers and fought naked because it was believed that would allow his spiritual powers to be spread to the troops more effectively. Perhaps the Celts had a similar idea.
