To think back and realize these “kids” (early 20s) were cranking out musical revolutionary full LPs just about every 6 months.
We were just digesting the greatness of the previous LP before the next one was coming out. The speed and growth of their brilliant genius creativity was just flowing out of their relentless creative work ethics, looking back is mind blowing.

The audio is just slightly low pitched to me. Either way, does a good job of highlighting the MASSIVE bass on Drive My Car.

I always thought this should have been the cover for "Meet the Beatles" because of the "Meat" parody

I am curious what happened to Beatles song which as I rememember was ttitled "Today , Tonight and Tomorrow" Not sure who was singing - seems John ,. It was day by day presented about 66- 67 by Radio Luxemburg still remember it and I liked much ' But just after few months it disappeared and never heard it any more. Not found in any compliations

The 45 of day tripper had a little more punch than the album cut but the album was excellent

The Butcher Cover was the Beatles protest of Capitol/EMI butchering prevoius albums to make new ones, such as this one.

One of my favorite albums back in 1966. I used to play it all of the time. I have this on vinyl and on CD in both stereo and mono versions and my mono version of "Day Tripper" is great with its loud guitars (which are somewhat muted in the above version).
The drawback in all of the U.S. versions of the song "I'm Only Sleeping", is that ONLY the UK mono version has all five backwards guitar parts which would change the song from "psychedelia" to probably "psychedelic".

I've always thought George looked like a maniac and Ringo is clearly very uncomfortable in this picture.

The Beatles and mono...perfect together

You hear the Mono and then hear the Stereo...and the Stereo is just rubbish. The mono, The Beatles are playing right in the CENTER, thie living room of your head!
The stereo is just the sound eviscerated, utterly gutted. It sounds like The Beatles are phoning it in from different houses. Some songs on different albums suffer more or less from the stereo treatment. Just a few for examples that I feel the song is not well served by stereo--Baby You're a Rich Man, Ticket To Ride, I'll Be Back and the most egregious of them all I FEEL FINE...this song just falls apart in stereo. The iconic intro and riff just sounds disembodied, as does the rest of the song.

This version of "I'm only sleeping " is quite different.

I didn't care much for these American compilations, of taking cuts from British Albums such as Rubber Soul and Revolver, adding a couple of singles, then issuing as an LP to make a buck. Great songs of course, but not issued as the Beatles intended.
