ОтветитьAwesome thanks 🙏👍👍🎉 can't wait God bless Gi Joe Eddie epic adventure over and out 😎👍👍
ОтветитьTrick to get lower pressure with spray paint, spray it upside down until paint stops coming out , continue spraying count to 12-15 seconds maybe 20 for rusto because it’s a very high pressure can already(not to long or it will not spray anymore) after you should have a way softer pressure when you spray.
Ответитьhmm an Italian model builder
ОтветитьI wish someone would make a video about getting caught up in accumulating all kinds of nonsense you think you will need to build. I am guilty of it, in fact I have it bad.
Trust me, people, you don't need all this junk. all the single dollars add up. It doesn't feel good when you stumble on something that you think you needed and haven't used and never will. spend spend spend. this guy actually says he doesn't know what he will use it for but he bought it. I like his reviews but all this crap is a waste of money and time. why would anyone buy a kit to practice? just effin build. Have fun don't spend too much money and remember how bad buyers regret is.
Lastly, like people who build fast cars but never take a high speed driving course, the best money you could spend on a real car to make it fast, is money spent on learning to drive. Then you can spend money on performance parts.
LEARN TO BUILD FIRST THEN DONT BUY EVERY ITEM EVER MADE FOR MODELING. you will feel less buyers remorse.
Liquid plumber also will take off the chrome without harming the plastic. I been doing that since the 1990s.
ОтветитьGreat dollar store finds man. Thanks much
ОтветитьI realized you have video 4yrs old i started the wrong way
ОтветитьHes talking lol love it
ОтветитьI prefer Krylon spray paints because they bind better and don't run as bad as paints from other brands like Rustoleum.
ОтветитьThe movement in the video always seems a little sped up compared to the speed of your talking you’re moving at 1.25x
ОтветитьThank you very much for your numerous tips. I'll be taking many of them up.
ОтветитьSlow down a little bit you're a little hyper fumbling with stuff
ОтветитьHe didn’t punch the family delivery car~ his day got him to do the deliveries at night since he was about 11yo. So by the time he got his drivers license he actually had been driving for 5-6yrs. As he delivered in the wee hours of the morning, he was always in a rush to get home to go back to sleep, so not only was he familiar with the mountain trail, he got faster and better over time drifting down the mountain to get back home to bed~ obviously every story does have its backstory.. and his father was a legendary street racer who retired and got married and started a tofu shop~ he quietly fine tuned the AE86
ОтветитьWhy are there no instructional video of gluing parts together after paint ? All I’ve seen are instructions using glue on parts right out of the box , not painted . Is it not important ?
Ответитьthat tip bottle from Hobby Lobby alsao works very well for BSI super glue accellerater, instead of spraying it you can put one drop exactly where you need it
ОтветитьTHANK YOU !!!!
ОтветитьI'm currently 21 and I've recently started building two gunpla, hoping to get another one in the near future so I'm pretty much getting into it
Ответитьyep i like porcelain dishes
ОтветитьTry making a 15 min vid that's a list of your top 10 "tips" for modeling. That is a better vid on you tube. Nothing else, no dollar store hauls, just a list
ОтветитьDollar Store, HERE I COME!!!
Wonderfull video. Gave me so many "oohh yeah!" moments
Very useful tips! Many thanks, much appreciated.
ОтветитьTip you may or may not know of? I polish all my blade edges. My kitchen knives to my razor knives.
I take my new blades and use a 600 grit to and 8000 grit W/D sandpaper then I strip the blades. After is use the blade I strip it 20 times on both sides. It keeps the blade sharp all the time and you should never have to actually sharpen the blade again. I almost never sharpen a razor blade, unless the edge get damaged some how.
Sharpening is an art like everything. The more you do it, the better you get at it.
I sharpened the bayonets in my company in the military. I did swords to. I take a lot of pride in what I do. Whatever it is.
I am cheap. I even reuse paper towels😂 as long as they are still useable. I'm not going to use nasty towels but useable towels are cool.
ОтветитьHave you tried Frog tape?. I found that the blue painters tape ĥas too much adhesive. I use the green and yellow Frog tape. Yellow whas less adhesive and removes very easily off the surface of project.
ОтветитьPanel line with medium dark grey I think works better than black
ОтветитьWhat’s the best glue for paint to paint or chrome parts to painted models
ОтветитьLove the short cuts to a clean and clear desk. Am looking for a specific truck. Maybe you can help? When and if you can get back to me I'll give more info. Thank you and look forward to watching more as they come out.
ОтветитьI am looking for two models that I have not been able to find. First is a P3 Orion sub hunter in 1/48 and second 1964 pontiac bonneville coupe. And help would be greatly appreciated.
ОтветитьZip tie is a great idea.
ОтветитьSo nice when u used to make videos like this
ОтветитьG'day, some great ideas in here (some items sadly, we cant get in Aus) BUT that last idea, the metal magnet instructions holder. It was worth watching the full 47 minutes JUST for that tip alone. Thank you :)
ОтветитьI just stumbled upon you page and you got me interested in getting back into modeling!!!
I’m 56 and hadn’t touched a model since the 80’s
Great content!
Where are the best hobby shops here in Rhode Island?
ОтветитьLots of treasures at the Dollar Store
ОтветитьThank you for those very helpful ideas. I'm hoping to start my 1995 GMC Sonoma pickup model kit. However I saw the Pledge Revive It High Gloss is now discontinued. Is there an alternative that you've been using currently in place of it?
ОтветитьDollar store: Look for a package of wire brushes that look like toothbrushes. Instead of plastic bristles, however, they are brass. They're great for cleaning your files as they get filled up while you're filing. A clean file always gives better bite and with more control.
Also, plastic scouring pads come in a variety of grits and cane be very effective in sanding things, especially if you use a small piece held in a hemostat or cross-action tweezers for sanding in small places.
I got the same cutting mat
ОтветитьI have been model building on and off for sometime. Average builder but it's time to get more serious in my old age. This video was awesome! learned a lot. Definitely going to watch more of your videos. Do a great job explaining techniques.
Ответитьthanks very much for your video. it's very good sharing of your skill. May I ask you how you dispose the heavy duty oven cleaning after washing away the chrome coat?
ОтветитьFor chrome removal - in the UK - Domestos. It is literally 'instant'. Domestos is a syrupy sort of bleach. Nothing else even comes close.
ОтветитьHey I know this is an old video, but man it is amazing to see all of your stuff!! I’m about to purchase my FIRST model car this weekend. I bought. Beginner tool kit off of Amazon. Do you have any certain model car that you would recommend? I’m pretty mechanically inclined, I build computers aswell. Would love a challenge. I just have never painted anything before. Thanks for this video!!
ОтветитьI use bleach to take off chrome
ОтветитьI do recommend using nail polishing sanding blocks, it works better then the strips of paper. Super cheap and ultra fine grits, or Automobile wet sanding papers from the auto store. Scalpel works better than a hobby knife.
ОтветитьVery good resource
ОтветитьAbout masking tapes: to avoid the Tamiya tax or in case it's out of stock, try to get MT Washi tape (Amazon carries the product). MT is the factory that does the masking tape for Tamiya. Their main business is making painter's tape in Japan so the 3M recommendation is not so far fetched. But washi tape is better and won't ever strip your paint,. That unfortunately may happen with 3M painter's tape.
ОтветитьWe don’t have dollar stores in Australia
ОтветитьPurple Power Cleaner dechromes the absolute best and it’s reusable 1000’s of times. To go chrome to aluminum look, you could strip and repaint, or shoot matte or satin clear on the chrome, TA-DA aluminum. And yes it sticks to the chrome well if you wash it well before clearing it.
ОтветитьYou're a busy man😁👍
