ОтветитьShe's ugly
ОтветитьGood movie for it’s time
ОтветитьI love this version of Tomb Raider and I love the new one as well.
ОтветитьICONIC!
ОтветитьThe last scene with the guns at the freeze . She looks exactly like her father Jon Voight
ОтветитьInstead of being given the world on a silver platter, she is given the tools to help free it from the machine/the fallen state of man that keeps it in the cycle of sin that stops man from getting past the veil and coming to CHRIST to reach salvation. The tools she is given are hidden under the veil over the platter, representing she is now able to free others from the machine (representing the world/the matrix that keeps mankind in sin separating them from GOD and CHRIST using the veil which is represented by the glass) by having power over the veil itself, the veil being the gray area. This is what is going on with my situation right now. She is wearing a hat now because the head of every man and woman is CHRIST, and the head of every married woman is her husband, meaning she now has a partner, where as before Lara was single and so not ready to mingle. The song choice "where's your head at?" was specifically chosen because it represents CHRIST becoming her head, which represents her finding salvation and being given power over the veil, lifting the veil off of other people's eyes so that they could find the TRUTH, that is CHRIST. The Butler represents the Bible(which is what gives you the tools to help lift the veil off of others) , the Tech guy the Holy Spirit aka the Helper, Lara represents John the disciple/me (two guns), and Lara's Father represents GOD, who said "because you have defied time, you have to give it back" meaning since I was given another opportunity to live again in this world, I would have to devote my time to what GOD has planned for me, and helping save the world so that CHRIST can return is it. Of course you know the boyfriend is there too. But it's a reminder, the boyfriend is safe with me, now we have to help lift the veil off of others so that they can see the "light of CHRIST", which is why in the second movie Daniel Craig is fighting along side her.
ОтветитьThe vibe I got here summed up in words.
"Everything worked out the best way it could. Life hung in the balance and we won. While this is a bit if a stretch for our daily lives, nothing has changed. And thats okay."
When the machine shows up I always imagine me as the butler or Bryce saying
Hey Lara, ready for round 2?
And when Lara gets her guns I say
Round 2 Fight!
I feel the walls getting ever so closer

The (clearly American) producers really didn't understand that what made this film work was the tongue-in-cheek approach West had (something they shaved down as much as they could). It wasn't full parody, but it was self-aware enough not to take itself seriously - something the producers didn't understand, which led to the genuinely boring Cradle of Life; the British have developed a shorthand for that not-quite-parody, tongue-in-cheek tone-setting. While I thoroughly enjoyed the reboot with Vikander and still want that story to continue and conclude, any future Tomb Raider adaptations will do best to look to West in regards to tone, especially if it establishes the supernatural exists in that iteration (the tongue-in-cheek approach is wholly unsuitable for something like adapting the more recent games or the 2018 movie). Any Tomb Raider film that decides the supernatural exists will do well to consider the dry, British humour approach West brought, though I'm hopeful with Phoebe Waller Bridge behind the upcoming Tomb Raider show that she will bring that back in some form.
ОтветитьOh my God, I didn't know Lara Croft really existed!, Take that Tom Holland and your Not-Nathan-Drake performance!
ОтветитьAngelina Jolie was born to play Lara Croft ❤
ОтветитьWill always come back to this gave me life as a kid 💅🏽🤣🥵🫶🏼
