How did they come up with the name oasis and which came 1st the band or the drink.?

Good song, but I can only think of it's adoption as the anthem of the UK's campaign to prevent anything from being done about terrorist attacks killing their people. Instead of letting people's strong emotions inspire them to change policy and law for better safety, the government's message was "don't be angry". A message that nothing needed to change. And they successfully defeated public demands for accountability and safety using this song.

I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy this song now that it's become a symbol of distracting the public from a justifiably urgent moment so that that government can continue with destructive policies. Whenever the destruction of the natuon becomes too difficult to ignore, as with mass murders of children, the government has a ready campaign to calm the public while doing nothing to fix problems. In this way, they can go on never solving the problems of the country by distracting the public whenever it notices that things are wrong.
