Love it 🎉
Ответитьhi, my natural hair color is more of a black-ish brown (so level 1)! my hair type is 4B! i want to lighten to level 6 to then dye it a medium cool brown (more like the color of Zendaya’s brown).
would i lighten it that much? additionally, i know my hair would turn more orange/yellowish-orange. what would be your suggestion for a process to go from level 1 (blackish-brown) to a cool medium brown?
Hi Craig! I just discovered your account and subscribed right away! Have been watching some videos and they are super duper helpful! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! :-)
I hope you can help me out! My natural hair level is a level 8. (dirty / ash blonde colour) Over the years I have been using permanent hair dye (Goldwell Topchic) on the roots and lengths to make my hair a coppery blonde colour. (also level 8) I'm in the search of something "less damaging" for my hair and was looking at the Redken Shades EQ toners. Would the Redken toner also cover my (natural) roots if I use it on the roots and the lengths? Or does it only work on previously colored hair?
Thank you so much in advance and keep up the good work! 🙂
Hi ! I have orange/red tones in my hair that I would like to get rid of . To my understanding it’s advised to use a toner with blue tones to cancel out the brassiness . How can I do this but at the same time keep it warm since the toner is on a cooler side ?
ОтветитьHi! Great video, it's so helpful! I did have a 2 questions? One does the toner go just on the highlights or all over the hair? My hair is mostly orange/brass. I have blonde highlights (maybe a level 8) that have turned orange and the rest of my hair is a brown I would say a level 6. What color should I use for toner? Is it a level 9 or a level 6 or two different toners? I'm confused because the highlights are lighter about an 8 or 9 and the rest of my hair is about a 6.65. (I know I used the wrong root color so it made my hair warm so I'm trying to fix it). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
ОтветитьYour client example is almost exactly what I'm trying to achieve except more of a baleyage(cannot spell that correctly) instead of just highlights. Love this video and you just confirmed which toner I thought I needed!
ОтветитьHi dear, I live in Ecuador and I’m limited to varieties. I’m level 9 bleached( my roots are all white), what can you suggest to get a warm 8-9 level blondes toning? They carry here Wella and Igora, Scwartzkov. Hope I explained decently 😅thanks
ОтветитьI think you meant a combo of blue and violet! Not Orange and Violet. Got it
ОтветитьThanks so much for your video tutorials, I’ve learned so much 😊 could I use 8vb on its own? My hair is level 8 and is too warm, I don’t want to add colour I just want to cool the overall tone.
Thank you
My hair is orange and blonde help
ОтветитьThank you so much for you great video, you are" the best
'. My hair is 7-6.5 blond , I when for warm highlights but the hairdresser give a palest yellow. What toner can you recommend to get a warm highlights?
Help: my natural hair is a level 5 with 40% grey. I use a permanent colour Majirel cool cover 7.11. My hair was bleached to a level 7-8, then the cool cover 7.11. I want my hair as ash/grey possible but it gets always warmer. Maybe should I go to an 8.11. I want light ash blond but not a full bleach out.
ОтветитьHow did you determine your hair was dark blonde? I've peeped your videos and you look a medium brown, almost dark brown.
My stepson has what I would call a natural dark ash brown and his hair lifted extremely brassy and I feel like I need to mix a blue and violet bc I tried to tone it with an ash toner and it didn't change at all.
I went to beauty school in the mid 80's. I never felt comfortable doing color or bleaching in the salon. Cutting was my forte. This explanation was so helpful. Thanks!!
ОтветитьI wish I would’ve found this video two days ago!! Still helpful for next time:) thanks pal!!😊
ОтветитьCan you recommend brands of toners that you can buy without being a hairstylist that don’t lift the hair at all please? 🙏🏻
ОтветитьI’m trying to tone my own hair darker blonde but not sure what Redken shades to use. I would say my base hair is a 6 and I have highlights at a level9
ОтветитьFantastic video. Thank you for all the great information
ОтветитьHi Craig, I stumbled on this and found it very interesting, but I have the opposite problem to most of your examples.
My natural hair colour was always a rich dark chocolate brown with coppery highlights in the summer.
Over the years it has gradually lightened to around a 6-7 (mousy brown) and I miss the richness and coppery tones.
How can I dye it darker (around a 3 shade) without losing the warmth?
I love learning from your videos! Thanks for sharing !
ОтветитьYou're like the Russell Brand of hair!
ОтветитьLaw school was a walk in the park compared to this! 🤯😂❤ Thanks for the info👌🏻xx
ОтветитьAlso what level of developer did you use with the toner
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThank yooouuuuuu!!!!!
ОтветитьThis was so well done, thank you
ОтветитьOk after watching your video like 10 times I decided to give Pravana toner a try. I got violet and Pearl, clear and Zero Developer. For my level 9 golden hair, I want to be pearl! I will mix 1 p Violet, 1 p Pearl, 3 p Clear = correct? For l 9 color should I keep this formula 10 minutes or 5?
ОтветитьGod bless you!!! Cosmetologist student here and boy was I lost in this section of lecture today. Thanks to you
ОтветитьYou had me at a Querelle poster signed by Andy Warhol!
ОтветитьI am doing my hair as well as extensions. The extensions are about the same as my hair now maybe a 3 with auburn tones and I want them to be a mix of really warm brown and caramel WITH the red undertones so I’m thinking go to a level 5 but tone with what exactly to get the warm tones to pull through?
Ответитьso lovee your accent sir, 😅
ОтветитьThis was the BEST breakdown on hair color I've seen. I sat through hours of Schwarzkopf vids to try & figure out how to use their products & I felt like i needed a degree in hair sciences just to color my hair at home. I mean of course this is a highly specialized field but come on, just make it a little understandable to the common person - that way they know why they should be going to a specialist in the first place!
Anyway, back to your video. This was a wonderful introduction to an obviously complex subject. Thank you!
Can you maybe make a video that focuses on dark hair (1,2,3,4) & how they can blend greys for easy maintenance. And also how they could have some fun with tones?
For ex: If a natural level 3/4/5 uses a demi 3/4/5 with a golden tone would the goldish tone even be visible? And would it look good? Or should a dark haired person use only cooler tones?
So good 🙏🏼
ОтветитьLove love love this!
ОтветитьWanted to say you are exremly handsome !! Just find your channel 😂❤
Do you have any hair toners that doesnt have red pigment but color brown without red !
This makes perfect sense! My issue is not being a cosmologist, finding the large range of colors in Demi. Sally’s has a generic shades eq line but they only have neutrals. They don’t sell violet or blue kickers etc.
ОтветитьI have like 4 different blonde and oranges on my hair I'm utterly confused! But I'll study this video!
ОтветитьLove this! Thanks for creating and sharing🙏 I was blue and I've let it fade right down to an icy, barely-blue shade. So...using your colour wheel theory, I need to put an orange toner in my hair to get back to blonde?! I understand the theory and yet it still feels scary somehow 😂
ОтветитьFabulous colour jumper on you x
ОтветитьHey, I need your help with my hair. I had dark brown hair, and I lightened it to a level 5 to 10 brown-blonde. But now, some of the roots and the back of my head are orange-brown, not bright orange though. There are also stripes across my hair, not from the root down, so it looks like a mess. Do you think using a toner will help clean up those lines? Can I send you a picture of my hair? I'd really appreciate some professional advice and maybe some tips on the exact toner I need to buy.
Also, I want warm blonde, like sunshine blonde, honey blonde, or medium blonde. Nothing too light like ash or white blonde, and definitely not dark brown again.
Thanks a million for making this video and for taking the time to help me out.❤
I usually only have access to wella toners,, maybe a video on that plz i love this video btw ur great at explaining this!
ОтветитьHi m a new subscription holder of urs . Loved ur videos !!! Any tips on level 3 to chocolate brown hair balayage please !!!
ОтветитьWhich toner do I use if I wanted the orange gone and keep the warmth for a warm blonde-brown or light brown? I want a warm and golden blonde result. The orange can be brown instead of orange if it's not possible to go blonde without more lift.
ОтветитьThank you
Awesome informative 😅
Please could you explain what a clear does when adding to colour?
ОтветитьGreat video! A question though. My hair is a darker auburn (probably a level 4 or between a 4 and a 5) with a red tone, and some copper as well. It IS colored. What can I use to brighten it up a bit and bring out the copper? I don't want to bleach it. Would a glaze, gloss or toner have that effect and if so, what would be the best choice of those, and color?
ОтветитьThanks for the video u helped me understand better ❤
