Ive lived and hunted the exact same area my entire life. My cabin is about 10miles past your campsite. Saw ya there this fall a couple weekends in a row. Hopefully found plenty of birds. Theres piles there.

Grouse seem really paranoid in USA. In Canada if you go really far north. You can literally kick them lol.

i just shot my first ruffed grouse this year here in eastern oregon with my remington 870 3in express.
